Memphis should never allow themselves to lose a game when Russ & KD go 11-45 combined shooting. Shoutout to Reggie Jackson though.

Numbers say that both KD and Russ are having **** series'.
A bunch of people blame KD for Russ' struggles.

While both groups ***** at each other... Meanwhile Brooks skates free despite not making a single adjustment.

Listen to the broadcast tonight.. They can't get KD open, there's no back-up play, so it's just Russ with a blown up play with 7 seconds left on the shot clock while everyone else watches the ball. So rather than point to Brooks not being able to make a gameplan for Tony Allen or being able to adjust.. they just blame Russ being selfish or credit Tony Allen (which he deserves) for stopping Durant.
They'll look at bad shooting nights for KD and RW and say they struggled while Jackson shined.. but they won't point to the ENTIRE offense in OT was give Reggie the ball, run a pick and roll, then just see what happens.
Tony Allen has been ALL OVER Durant all series. He's an incredible defender, but Durant is the MVP and you have to be able to get him the ball and his shots. Durant won't be able to just iso his way to 30 points with Tony Allen all over him... they've struggled to get him the ball with their "plays".. so that falls on Brooks.. AGAIN.
Coaches unfairly get the blame when the team struggles and won't get enough credit when they succeed.. that's how it is.. but Brooks literally NEVER gets the blame. It's crazy. What separates a good coach from a great coach is the ability to make these kind of in-series and in-game adjustments. People and the media see the Thunder get better every year and give credit to Brooks when they're winning because Durant and Russ are ******* awesome basketball players and Ibaka has continued to develop and improve... then they draft well and have guys like Reggie step up when they need him.
Bottomline, you will rarely see a close game that OKC wins and you can clearly say "That's because of Scott Brooks right there". The man ran an iso out of a timeout in overtime for God's sake

its a weird balance, in pretty much any situation the media NEVER blames the coach for anything while the fans always use the coach as a scapegoat (fair or not)No one in the media.

chuck and kenny will always say something along the lines of "this coach should not get the blame, they do a good job all year bringing the team together"
im pretty sure chuck has said that after every coach firing in the past 3 years
