wow so they're talking about this on LA sports radio. An attorney familiar with NBA contracts says that the league could boot him if 23 of 30 owners vote to take away ownership from sterling.
shouldn't the other owners not want Sterling out since this will take free agents away from the Clippers? less competition

I'm not stereotyping Jews, I'm discussing a small group of people who stole another people's history and used it as a shield to advance their cause.

I'm not anti-Semitic. That would mean I'm anti black. An oxymoron in itself.

I'm not gonna downplay the struggles that the perceived Jews and blacks share with one another. Because of this struggle it's easy to support one another, however most of the glamorized support probably has an agenda. Proving my point, look how sterling was up for an NAACP award despite his history.

Preach my dude

But y'all act like Brooklyn isn't the 4th most populous city (if you counted it as its own) in the US. Getting ~20k should be nothing.

They have no problem filling the stadium at even crazy prices.

Think people were complaining about the energy level.

Q: Is it possible for Silver and the NBA to terminate Sterling's franchise ownership?

A: Yes. Under the terms of Paragraph 13 of the constitution, the owners can terminate another owner's franchise with a vote of three-fourths of the NBA Board of Governors, which is composed of all 30 owners. The power to terminate is limited to things like gambling and fraud in the application for ownership, but it also includes a provision for termination when an owner "fails to fulfill" a "contractual obligation" in "such a way as to affect the [NBA] or its members adversely." Silver and the owners could assert that Sterling's statements violated the constitution's requirements to conduct business on a "reasonable" and "ethical" level.

Any owner or Silver can initiate the termination procedure with a written charge describing the violation. Sterling would have five days to respond to the charge with a written answer. The commissioner would then schedule a special meeting of the NBA Board of Governors within 10 days. Both sides would have a chance to present their evidence, and then the board would vote. If three-fourths of the board members vote to terminate, then Sterling would face termination of his ownership. It would require a vote of two-thirds of the board to reduce the termination to a fine. Terminating a franchise would obviously be a drastic remedy, but the potential of the termination procedure gives Silver and the other owners vast leverage in any discussion with Sterling about an involuntary sale of his team.

Silly me, I was always coached getting shots closer to the basket decreased the margin for error. It's not inefficient if you can hit it at a high clip. Just like FTs are an easy shot unless you don't hit them consistently (Dwight, Deandre) or 3s (Josh Smith instead of Ray Allen). I think there's more variables than just the black and white, it's a balance between the personnel and the shots they can hit what makes an offense successful or not.

Yeah...but you get an extra point if you step back.

you have to make 50% of long twos to generate the same amount of points hitting 33% from 3. and a FTA, not only gives you points but foul on the other teams defender.

No one really does that besides, Dirk, Lamarcus, Bosh,

obviously its about personnel, and their are outliers to everything and you can construct your roster in multiple ways to ge thte same result, but ultimatley its tough to build an elite offense without generating 3 point looks and close shots at the rim.

Its not really that controversial.

Hell yea.  I want them to release all the Clippers players and the coach...so the Lakers can sign Rivers and Paul...then they can get rid of Sterling. LOL

Red Bull just said they are: "are suspending all team-related marketing activities" regarding Clippers.

why is it the Clippers that should be the only ones to sit out every team in the league every coach every referee should refuse to work until sterling is suspended indefinitely pending legal action to remove him. it's near impossible to get all 3 unions to agree on such a move but it's what's needed
