:smh: skip just said he would take wade, harden,td,pg over kd

we knew this would happen. he targeted lebron, then lebron won b2b rings and shut him up. his next target is KD. it's easy because it's so outlandish, that people will actually respond to it, and that's why he has the job he does.

Its crazy tho because he was kd's biggest supporter and now hes talking like kd is just a one dimensional player

the show is scripted. not line for line but skip knows what he is doing

THIS. ya'll still watching first take? i thought it was known that skip was suppose to take the opposing side so they could stir up debate. i think they told him to play up that whole lebron thing as well. stephen a smith basically will defend the guys that will grant him inside access or interviews

Pretty sure basing someone's entire career on gifs of two shots is worse than doing it on summer league play.

who do y'all think will end up as the 3rd seed in the East? :nerd:

Barring major injuries, I'm going to go with either the Raptors or Wizards. I think the loss of Horford will catch up with the Hawks and they'll drop. I like the Wizards team better on paper, but the Raptors have been playing well since the Gay trade.

Maybe it would be better to amnesty Rose then sign him back for less no? Is that even allowed?

It is, but adding to what Essential said--You'd also have to wait a full year before you can resign a player you amnesty. The Bulls are screwed until they find a way to unload Taj Gibson's $34 million he's owed within the next 4 years.

Long story short, they need to wait another full year before anything can significantly happen for the Bulls in terms of signing a free agent. Letting go of Deng was more of a luxury tax purpose than anything else.

Cap hold is $493K

But you have the right idea.

They should really look at getting rid of Taj for an expiring contract. Because even with amnestying Boozer, he's the problem financially holding up further rebuilding.

All that being said Love isn't a free agent this year, so the Bulls would have to punt next season as well. And if they wait too long and Rose happens to be injury prone as opposed to unlucky, they might as well just wait 4-5 year

I agree with you on this. And you're right about the cap hold. The magic number is still around $10 million in cap space for the Bulls. The bottom line--They do not have enough space for a max player. At least not until they unload on Taj Gibson's contract.

K love cant put winning first & settle for less $$?

Kevin Love is a max player. The only place I think he'd take less money is going back to LA where he's from. Besides, Minnesota is still the only place that can pay him $30 million more.

In all fairness though, I do think Kevin Love to Chicago would a great fit for him. His rebounding numbers would go down though.
