How is it not a good fit? Whole bunch of explosive dudes all over the floor that can kick out to him for open shots.

Doug is too good a player to just end up being a spot up shooter.

He's not that good.

But, he would be perfect in that Ryan Anderson role + more consistent (which was no fault of Ryan's ). I think Philly would be a great fit. Just him going top 10 is what is bothersome

I'll agree to disagree there.

I don't think he'll be Adam Morrison and bust out completely but I don't think he's a lottery pick kinda player.

But again, I love him in the right situation. The Kings would be another good situation with a big 5 to create outside space.

McDermott's basketball IQ is so much better than Morrison's was, has a much more complex idea of spacing and footwork than Morrison ever did. I agree with Pro, Ryan Anderson type is what he is but Doug is just such a smart player who can shoot the lights out that I think he is completely bust-proof.

I would absolutley love it if he ended up being better than Harrison Barnes which he very well might be
