Serves Paul George right anyway.
Especially after the way he treated Chris Charles

Mike Brown has to get fired after this game, right?

If I was a Cavs fan, I would be rooting for an Irving trade so hard. Who cares what the norm is. There would be worthwhile returns. Pretty convinced that he just isn't a winning basketball player now.
It does seem that he's clearly more about buckets, but seriously how much winning can be done in Cleveland. Like I don't believe that the bobcats have anymore talent than Cleveland does but there winning games cause their sixth in the league in
defense. But from reports the cavs biggest problem is the structure of the organization and the environment thats in place.

It's really simple to beat the Lakers.

Just guard the perimeter.

That is all.

You make us take contested 3 pointers, and you win by 20+

Mike Brown

Basketball is a simple game. You can only blame a coach for so much.
That's what you think, coaching is everything to a team with little experience. Coaching and talent can be equally important to being a winning basketball team.
But if the players aren't buying in and are not giving effort, that's on them not the coach.

It's one thing if they were losing close games on account of coaching mistakes. But the Cavs have gotten blown out for the past 4-5 consecutive games. They players aren't even competing out there. That isn't on the coach.

Which one is easier: Trading/Replacing/Firing all of the guys that aren't competing on the court, or firing the coach who the players obviously don't respect?

It's obvious that Cavs need a better coach and veteran experience before making the playoffs.

Yeah, I think that's nonsense.

Players play for one another, not their coach. And there is no coaching effort. The Cavs have quit on their on-floor leader.

And on a team with Deng, Varejao and Jack, notorious hard workers and consummate professionals (and the first two often being fringe All-Stars when healthy), that speaks volumes.

The Wizards were in this same situation a couple years ago, and they traded away all of the knuckleheads who weren't giving effort and brought in high-character guys, and now they're an up and coming team.

Mike Brown isn't a great coach, but what's happening right now isn't all on the coach. The team is full of losers. I would make personnel moves first before firing Brown.
