I'm saying, as a fan/outsider looking in, I'll blame the coach 

Likely, Casey told Gay he wanted him to be the #1 option, the alpha on the team, and what resulted was Gay's interpretation of that role.

Trade him away, play a bunch of role players, and have said group of role players play to or above their ability and you get what you got now with the Raptors, or the Suns even.

But ya, I agree, Gay and the Raptors were sort of in a precarious situation at the time. Not anyone more talented on the roster to say anyone else should be the lead option, and Gay clearly not being capable or built to be the alpha on any team.

on a scale of 1-10, the Gay experience has been probably a 6, I would almost say incomplete since he, DMC, IT had so few games played together due to injuries.

But from what I've seen he disappears at times and has bad games a lot more than you'd like to see, but luckily here he's the 2A/2B option so its not the worst thing in the world when he falls off the wagon for a game or two. Most importantly, I like the fit and role he fills for the Kings.

so there is a chance that Indy may actually be in trouble.

Well I mean there's something to be said about them being able to come into your house and smack you by 30, then turn around a few weeks later and take home court from you in the playoffs.

I think we all can agree that playoffs are all about matchups. Atlanta is a pretty bad team, but the things they have in their favor really can show against indy. They have stretch bigs that can nullify Hibbert and west's defensive presence. Then, they have a dynamo pg that can play pick and roll/pop with West and Hibbert. To put it bluntly, they have no issues on that side of the ball against the pacers.

You combine the aforementioned with the fact that the pacers are inept offensively, and you get a very competitive series because the Pacers aren't flat out beating you offensively. When they are at their best, they are crushing teams with their defense. However, they can't stop Atlanta haven't been able to virtually at all this season.

Playoffs are all about matchups. This is just a bad matchup for Indy. Because they are the superior team I still have indy, but depending on what happens in game 2 I may have to switch that.
