We did Series threads last year and they were inactive to the point where they were locked because the majority of people just stayed in the playoff thread. There was a thread in General about this very thing and most people said they liked the fact that official threads got rid of the clutter that making threads for every single thing that happens causes
Naw, wasn't really talking about series threads. But hey, if you guys think this way is best, who am I to rock the boat?

And yeah Dub, I know there is a Knick thread for Woodson and the Chi one for Noah. But when you venture into those threads, the rules prohibit you from flaming or whatever. Like someone can't go into the Chi thread and say "Noah sucks, he doesn't deserve it" w/o getting a warning or ambushed by the Bulls fans y'know?

A separate thread welcomes anyone to share their view in however way they want.

Honestly, isn't that the way it was? Not sure how everyone suddenly seems to act as if that way wasn't the original way things were done.

Shaq called Ibaka a superstar.

WUT

So much more offensive them him saying all white people and 7 foot black people look alike.

Nba has some issue where they feel the need to manufacture superstars. It's wierd.

Hell no, I was sarcastic. Stockton would be amazing in any era. I guarantee you many people don't think stockton cold keep up with this current influx of "super athletic freak" athletes though.
With how much people in here reach its kind of hard to differentiate the sarcasm sometimes

a big reason there are no game threads anymore is because everyone has league pass/nba tv/online streams so everyone just skips around between games everynight

Shaq is a known idiot. Notice he doesn't say anything about Ibaka averaging 15 & 9 instead of 28 & 15.

Shuges, it's not gonna work that way nowadays. Too many trolls and thread derailments would kill those kinda threads.

That's def how it was but I don't think you can get enough posts in those singular threads.

Start a few of them and let's see, maybe I'm wrong.

I think ou guys exaggerate how much it fell off. You literally couldn't post during an event with yuku. Last years finals would have broken the site.

I totally get what you're saying, to add on it sometimes its hard to have a centralized discussion on a topic when it can easily get lost in a thread that has so many people posting and changing the subject.

Honestly the Post Season Awards should have its own thread, its a strong enough topic to warrant it, and would bring solid discussion until the MVP award comes out then the thread will go to hell.
Shuges, it's not gonna work that way nowadays. Too many trolls and thread derailments would kill those kinda threads.
I feel like they would stick to this thread though. Why troll 10 people when you can troll 100 in the main thread?

Definitely disagree.

Nobody wants to see the first page of the forum full of individual threads of silly *** debates.
But everyone is cool with:
Lakers season thread
Knicks season thread
Nba season thread
Chicago season thread
College basketball thread

Vs.

Noah DPOY thread
Nba season thread
Best duo in the nba right now
Woodson fired!!!
Current player that would make the best coach
Knicks season thread
Jabari Parker is most like (fill in the blank of current or past nba player)
Chicago season thread
Craig sager appreciation thread

I mean y'all really like option A better?

**** it then.
