From what I read he was shooting a FT and they were up. He wanted to run out the clock with .6 seconds. So he through the ball at the backboard. But the clock don't start unless it hits the rim

Less than a second left in the game, miss the FT, and by the time the Celtics secure the rebound the game is over. The problem was this fool clanked the FT attempt of the glass so no time came off.

i dont understand why he didnt just shoot a normal freethrow and miss...?

by the time they would have grabbed the rebound another .1 or 2 would have went off..

just play good defense on the inbound pass
