Amare Stoudemire will make 23.3 next year, Joe Johnson will make 24.9....Kobe who is on the back end of the his career coming straight off of injury will be the highest paid player in the league for the next two years. I dont want to call it the worst contract in basketball cause of so many factors: It being the Lakers, it being Kobe, its only two years, but an argument can be made.

it wont be the worst contract as long as gilbert arenas is still getting paid, but its pretty bad

Still a tough contract to handle especially with who else the Lakers have on their roster.

The Joe Johnson contract is the undisputed number one IMO.

And unlike last season, I don't see the Bulls having a great record. I don't know if the guys can mentally deal with this again, or physically for that matter. Added minutes for Lu and Kirk does not bode well. What a tough last few days......it hurts man.

Nxt yrs team will be vastly different.

And declaring Derrick out for the yr is smart. No more wavering like last yr.

Its not about how much Kobe is making though, its about the cap. Unless theyre going to pull a Nets and not care about it(which wouldnt surpise me) what will happen. Cause if they want Pau back thats a 10 million dollar a year expense, and then what? Sign LeBron? Yeah ok...

A 36 year old coming off of Achilles' surgery no less (and a guy who has shown that he's incapable of deferring to other top talent, regardless of the circumstances)...
