I knew Rudy Gay was gone in preaseason as soon as he said I dunno how to tank. Stat sheet thing was final nail in the coffin.

His shooting percentage was telling another story though.

Watching Rudy play is so funny. He has flashes of brilliance all the time, but as soon as he hits 18 points it like he shuts it down for the night. And homeboy bout that 18ppg life, whether it takes 6 shots or 60. Rudy getting dem 18 points

@itsaboutthattime, that was my first time reading it but most of that I knew about. Its messed up how things ended last season and the front office is going to have the make the right moves going forward to build a wining culture in Memphis. Keeping everyone together for the next 3-5 years is not going to do that. The only players I want to keep are Conley, Gasol, Franklin, Allen, Koufos and a few other young guys. Lose this year, use the smart guy HOllinger to get a great player in the draft, free up some space by selling Prince as an expiring in the offseason and sign a few good rotational players. You are right back into being one of the better teams in the West.

I never forget some of the stretches he had in Memphis where he looked like a superstar.

I'm all in favor of the Clippers picking up Jackson. With the injury situation, we definitely need some wing help and goodness knows getting a little more toughness on the squad wouldn't hurt.

I don't see an Arenas signing happening though. If I remember correctly, they looked at Arenas before the season started and did not bring him in. Granted, that was before Redick went down, but if Gilbert couldn't make the team over Malik Wayns back then, he must not have looked all that good.
