Hate to say it but with all the injuries and terrible east, I have to put an asterisk next to lebrons championship he will win this year.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! YOU SO MAD MAN!!!
Like Lebron has control over people who get injured.....
As if those teams were gunna beat the heat anyway!!!
people LOVE making up excuses!! lmao

Brian Windhorst: "Bynum is not just suspended, he's been put on the trade block. The Cavs are making him available, and they will be very aggressive until Jan. 7 (when a bunch of money comes his way)."

pretty wild news about bynum

i mean good for him for doing what he wants, but another part of me is thinks he should count his blessings for being fortunate enough to swindle people outta money like that when there's so many other players who haven't had their proper chance to make their mark in the league

anyway, whatever he had more of an impact in the news than on the court, that's how he'll be remembered, if at all

I wonder how it feels to be that good at something and do it for so much money and not love it. He really just didnt love the game, thats what it comes down to for me. Hope it works out for dude though

Not every pro athlete actually loves their sport, it's a job for some just like working at a supermarket with obviously more benefits. Some guys are just gifted genetically and end up on that path.

Like Curtis Martin, dude never liked football but was one of the best tailback's of his time.

I guess it was a good gamble by the Cavs, but the feeling of "not wanting to play basketball" isn't something that happens overnight. Dude should have just walked off into the sunset after the 76ers debacle. But nope...he wanted one more payday. On one hand, I can't be too mad at the guy b/c there was an actual market for him and his services...on the other, I'm sure his heart wasn't into it from the jump so it was eventually going to come to this anyways.

Eh.

From what I've read, he rehabbed like hell to get back on the court this summer (I can't speak about last season ). I'm sure his heart wasn't into it when his body started to fail him again.

P - if Bynum didnt have the rep of a guy who doesn't love the game, then yea...I might give him the benefit of the doubt. In this instance, I don't think I can.

 the sympathy card being pulled for Bynum. Since his high school days he was known as someone who didn't have a passion for the game. Cut the crap.

Didn't love the game or just didn't live by it like Kobe or Durant?

I don't think you get as good he is/was without having some type of passion for the game. He just has other interests (technology) and knew basketball could only be played for so long. He knew how to separate the two.

well pretty much free trips to the Finals. Celtics had a chance to beat them and Rondo goes down, Bulls lose Rose when they looked like they could have easily beat Miami 2 seasons ago. so many stars injured in the East over the past couple seasons while the Heat stay at full strength.

what?
The celtics were down 3-0 during that game when rondo injured his arm.
IN NO WAY IN HELL did the bulls look like they could have easily beatin the heat the season rose got injured. they may have won 2 games vs the heat in the play offs, but in no way shape or form would they have beatin the heat with that bulls team in 2012, you are crazy.

Then again, its not Lebrons fault on people who get injured. injuries happen. let it go and stop crying and making excuses.

I don't think he deserves sympathy but he doesn't deserve scorn either. Let the man live. No reason he has to play basketball for a living until he's 40.

No one said he has to. If you don't want to be there, leave and let someone who's hungry fill that spot.

if someone is willing to throw him 10 mill, he's supposed to say "nah, give that spot to someone who's hungry"?

Please don't make something out of nothing. Stop while you're ahead.

Gilbert should just eat the 6 mil and let his *** rot in Cleveland.

If son isn't giving ALL... and I don't care why not... he deserves to be scorned.

I mean, unless he's leaving that money on the table.

but it also doesn't seem right to just decide "i don't want to do this anymore" after someone throws all that money at you

this is a basic agreement involved between an employer & employee
