Even though Melo would still be the #1 on the Bulls, that team fits him so much better. Great defenders and rebounders around him.

Rose as the #1.5 option. Bulls would look good.

CHI was well above the luxury tax threshold & with Rose out for the year they weren't contending, so it made no sense to pay the tax, so one of their big contracts had to go.

Now they bring Mirotic over, amnesty Booz in the offseason & they have around 14+ mil in cap room to play with

CLE certainly upgraded at the 3. They'll also probably have cap room for a max contract in the offseason as well.

Quit jockin the lakers
excuse me?

so cavs get Deng but does it really improve the team? more like 2-3 wins. And they stocking up on forwards or something? (dude from canada, gee, ariza, earl clark, waiters) is waiters even considered a 3?

They need to dismantle that team and build around uncle drew.

Bulls on the other hand looks good long term but only if they use their cap space effectively.

The biggest hole in Cavs team was SF, I dunno what you are talking about. This clearly fills the need for Cavs.

Yes it was a need for the cavs but im thinking long term. Starting 5 of Kyrie Waiters Deng Thompson Andy is not gonna win a chip any time soon. Deng is basically a band aid at this point. The make up of this team is just horrible.

Can't wait to see Deng in a Cavs jersey even though I'm a Bulls fan. Gonna miss em. Kyrie is my next favourite pg after Rose anyways so it's all good with me

I don't think that lineup is winning a chip anytime soon either. It is at least competitive enough to be PO team in the East though (which isn't saying much). That is, if they can sign him for a reasonable extension, which I doubt for Cavs. On the other side, I hope this fixes the supposed locker room issue that Cavs have though. From what I hear, Deng is a great leader and a locker room guy, so his influence can erase whatever malaise that Bynum left on the team.

Are waiters and kyrie still in turmoil or was that just the media over-blowing the situation?

people said the cavs were gonna be a playoff team this year and we've seen how awful they are. kyrie is a one man show and mike brown has no idea what to do with the roster, deng isn't going to change much imo.

^Yeah I agree. The biggest problem they have is a wrong coach and management, which trickles down all over the team. I really think this team should ditch D and play up-tempo style like Portland or Philly. Grant should call George Karl ASAP in my opinion.

 @ all this Melo on the Bulls talk.

I mean you either believe the Knicks would do a deal or that Melo would walk and leave the money and the Knicks would let him

Prok is awesome.

Amid accusations he’s been an absentee owner during the Brooklyn Nets’ disappointing season, Russian billionaire boss Mikhail Prokhorov has been partying it up with a phalanx of beautiful women in the French Alps.

Prokhorov was spotted in the tony resort town of Courchevel with friends and an attractive entourage. A spy told Page Six that the NBA owner arrived at Le Comptoir de L’Apogée — known for its fireside Champagne Lounge and famous “ham-aging cellar” — to take over a private room Saturday night as the restaurant closed to its regular, rich customers.

“Twenty girls preceded him, and he then entered alone,” said a spy, who added that Prokhorov arrived in a black Mercedes and wore a beige turtleneck while the girls were “dressed to thrill.” The restaurant officially closed at 10:30 p.m., but it stayed open for his party with a private DJ and decor of white flowers and candles.”

The source said there were 20 women and “six to eight men” in a private room, and Prokhorov’s guards shooed away anyone who wandered over. A different spy said that a day earlier at another local hotel, a guy bravely tried to approach one of the women in Prokhorov’s posse and was warned by a Russian bodyguard “not to speak to the girls.”

Prokhorov was detained by Courchevel cops in 2007 for flying in women who were thought to be call girls, but he was officially cleared of the charge in 2009.

The Nets kingpin has been partying in the French ski town — near Meribel, where Formula One champ Michael Schumacher was in a skiing accident — during the celebration of Russian Orthodox Christmas.

But Prok’s Moscow-based rep insisted Monday night, “There were roughly the same numbers of men and women” at the dinner, and “Many of them were married couples.” She denied that anyone who tried to speak to one of the ladies was stopped by a security guard.

Prokhorov reportedly hasn’t attended a Nets game since October. His representative said he has not announced the dates of his next New York trip.

damn. SJAX can't catch a break. Clips must have been forced to waive him to open up a spot for a another PG. Maybe Dre?

Dont they got that mullens dude too? Does he even get off the bench anymore?
