Yes its a mental thing imo
KD is losing his confidence since westbrook is back
KD doesnt have that franchise player confidence anymore
its like back when Lebron was on the cavs he was the superstar and only relied on himself
to carry the team so he made the big plays and tried everything he could to win

Since KD has westbrook back he doesnt have to play with the same intensity or heart because he can fall back on his team

back when Ellis and Curry were on GSW
Ellis was the man (like Durant)
Curry was Westbrook

Ellis was not the man. The warriors hated when Monta did too much and turned the ball over. He wasn't the efficient scorer or threat Durant was.
Curry was like Westbrook? Since when did people say Curry hog the ball too much or jacks up ridiculous shots?

Are you saying Lebron was better in the Cavs? Maybe stats wise but not by performance. Lebron played better in the Heat because he had a better squad that can hit shots and can finish around the rim. When he was in the Cavs, people could predict Lebron's moves because the opponents were 80% sure he was gonna score, they'll live with anyone else scoring. Because he was in the Heat, he was more dangerous because not only can he still score but he could break down the defense and dish it to a cutter or shooter.

Also, you're reading into it too much from just 2 games.

Exactly. They played the Heat and the Clippers. Two teams with legit NBA Finals aspirations. The Heat and Clips played well. It happens. KD had a fantastic game, dishing, got up his 30 shots, scored 40, they just weren't the better team tonight. Chill with the Westbrook slander, it isn't warranted at all...at least not yet.

Lebron had a bigger chip on his shoulder back when he was solo and he played with more heart

Durant blew some big plays and cost us the game that he normally should of made

Westbrook and Durant are both good players in their own right

but together i dont think they mesh well i just dont see the chemistry

I've always felt that the fisher slander on NT was unwarranted. Does a great job even at his age at guarding 1's and 2's and is an excellent floor spacer on the other end.
I literally rarely see fisher get burned. Most of the time when people say he gets worked by an opposing PG it has more to do with him going
through 100's of screens rather than him being inept
on defense.

QFT. I've always said this D. Fish has that frown man sstrength and understands positioning on defense. Good on ball defender, trouble getting through screens.

Honestly, Idk How a guy that has been an excellent clutch role player still gets so much hate. The flopping though... I can understand.

I'm curious what does Westbrook do that holds Durant back?

he dictates a flow that doesnt benefit others at all. it's cool in spurts, but he doesnt really have any concept of when it's good and bad to take shots. He looks him off in PNR situations, or just looks him off period. He's gotten marginally better over time, but it's still bad. Just a bunch of errant play that quite frankly isn't acceptable when you have on of the all time best talents.

Westbrook doesnt get his guys shots that they like either. Yall think it's a coincidence all of the supporting cast for OKC is coming back down to earth? with KD being the primary playmaker/facilitator, guys are getting shots they like. Ibaka especially. Westbrook mostly passes as the 2nd option after attacking the rim. Yea it's cool if he draws Ibaka's man over and gives him the ball in the paint, but Serge is obviously more effective in the PNR shooting jumpers. With KD, thats all he was getting. KD dictating the offense just makes it that much harder for a coach to gameplan. When he's sitting in the high post, guys are just crowding him and forcing bad 1 move shots. he needs to get the ball in the open space so he can cook....like he did the entire first half of the season

I was saying this the other day and dudes were saying "No way! They need Westbrook because of his aggressiveness"

Man please. OKC doesn't need Westbrook to be playing how he does. They were what, 21-6 without him? So all the people saying they need him can stop, they're an elite team just off of having KD. They need an additional piece that won't shoot the team in the foot, Westbrook is not that ideal piece as of now (not saying he can't learn to be a smarter player in the future)

OKC with Kevin Durant can beat probably 25 out of 29 teams with ease. For the few teams they would struggle with, Russell Westbrook is not the answer. A low post presence would be better against Miami, and against teams like Memphis too. OKC is still a legitimate contender, but they could be threepeat dynasty status if they had a better piece other than Westbrook
