Sad because if it were miami or okc we wouldn't hear the end of it
Bingo! Espn would of slammed it onto everyone's face, pull outrageous facts out of their *** and start claiming titles for said teams. Buts it's the Spurs and it's a shame they don't get the same treatment.

Yo right on frink85. Playoff seedings and structure would be a mess like you said. #1-16 sounds great on paper, but it would be ridiculous and improbable to pull off unless the NBA follows the NFL's AFC and NFC structure. I think it's safe for the NBA as a business to keep it how it is. Years like this come around once or twice in a decade. In a few years, if you put aside dumb executive mistakes which will be bound to happen, the East can be as competitive as the West with this strong draft class.

Travel would be a mess with top 16 teams? Are we still in 1985 or nah? Teams are taking chartered first class flights. Just space the games out, which is something that they ALREADY do.

Look at ONE of the reasons why the Finals format reverted back to 2/2/1/1/1 :

“With improvements in team air travel and technology, the reasons the 2-3-2 format made sense for us in the past largely do not exist anymore," said Rod Thorn, NBA President Basketball Operations.

And this doesn't happen that often? 2011 and last year u had team in the East get in with a sub .500 record, failing to win even 40 games while a West team over .500 was left out.

'09 the sub .500, 39 win Pistons get in, while the Suns who are 10 games over .500 are left out.

'08: The 48-34 warriors miss out, the 37-45 Hawks get in.

'04: The Cs get in when they're 10 games under .500. Western team over .500 misses out.

So last 10 years, including the current year, thats 60% of the time aka the majority. Not even counting the years where #9 in the West & #8 in East are over .500 but West has the better record

Wizards need the Knicks to lose today...and they clinch a playoff spot. :pimp:

Damn proud of this squad.

I'm proud of them too and happy for John Wall. Hopefully we can stay healthy, get Nene back and make a run in the playoffs.

Yall act like it's impossible for Blake Griffin to move into the Top 5. He's already top 10, all he has to do is put up 25 and 10 and be an MVP candidate then he's in the top 5.

He's 20 and 10 already and if the Clippers have a top 5 record then he will be a MVP candidate. Knock Blake all you want, call him soft or whatever but you can't ignore his talent and potential.

Predicted the future.

I still don't understand how a person could hate superstar talent, not the person but that talent ...MJ, Kobe, Bron, etc ...still makes no sense to me. Sit back and watch greatness, never gonna see it again

Every time a player goes for 50+ someone has to bring up 81 or 62 in 3 quarters. It's like clockwork.

is it not worth bragging about? how many guys you know can do that?

dont bring up Wilt, he wasnt shooting jumpers and playing against inferior competition, 100 is 100 but everything else i could really care less about.
