I definitely see what you're saying, and I guess your point is correct. I just feel like at what point does work end and real life begin? This could apply to any field of work, not just NBA.

Unfortunately, I think there isn't. I think once you enter adulthood it's like a given to maintain a certain professional image, regardless of your occupation. Whether you're a baller, , retail worker, lawyer, waiter (these randomly off top of my head), it's not a good look if you're posting questionable material on social media and then going to work the next day with no care in the world. If anything, there's going to be a loose association between you and your job and what you do off court. It's like if you do _____this for a living and then on your social media is filled with rants and pics of wild debauchery, I"m sure that's not something even you would think is professional.

I just feel that the NBA should scale back on the policing of it's players off the court. What the players tweet and what they do off the court is their business.

But I guess since they represent the NBA off the court by default, they have to police them. I just think that's unfair.

First of all, he tweeted it during a game, which is against the rules. Second, if your line of work is a very public, very visible entity like the NBA, then you are always representing your employer. It's incredible to me how many people on NT don't understand this, or refuse to accept it as a reality of the business world. It's not unfair. It's business.

Really off topic but does anyone know why Joseph Forte didnt make it in the League
because he was a bum that really couldn't go left. When I saw him play at UNC in person, my whole opinion of him changed..a LOT. I made the L, but couldn't stick around. He got drafted by the Celtics, but just couldn't stick. His attitude was also part of his problem.
