InMyMind, I feel you but that's why I barely come in this thread anymore. People just making dumb exclamations on people based on such a small sample size, people lacking the ability to contextualize performance, etc. so why get up into arms and feed into it? People generally talk out of their ***** in life and it doesn't stop in here that's for sure.

I still don't get why people get gassed off summer league ****, Selby/Skitizsh were MVP's and were out of the league before they could even get burn. Steph Curry sucked in summer league, its not real NBA basketball, its picukup essentially. Doesn't mean things can't be gleaned from it but its hardly a great litmus test.
 
KD would have a better series for sure statistically at least, not saying the thunder would win the series tho

and scoffed at the Jazz's offer around 8-9mil per demanding a max, citing being comparable to Paul George. Kantner on that team is also in a contract year. They are not tanking either. They just suck. Word is so overused. It's not like they have an opportunity to be good and are foregoing it, unless you mean from an organizational level setting that team up to be where they are now.

I cannot stand John Ireland. One of the biggest homers in the business. I can't listen to his show for more than 5 minutes. Petros and Money all day over that clown and I don't even like that show all that much either.

But, from what I've observed, all local broadcasters are homers to some degree. The extent varies. That's why local fans of the team like them or at least tolerate them, while fans of other teams find them annoying. Like all Clippers fans love Ralph Lawler, but I know fans of other teams don't like him at all. (Mike Smith could get replaced and pretty much nobody would care).
 
i watched a griz game earlier this week and their commentators spend all game talking about "us" and "we"

Ireland probably isn't that great of a radio show host because he is a Laker guy. But for a Laker broadcast he's money. He's not a homer when calling games, at least no more than most.

Most local guys are homers a bit, but it only irks me when they complain about calls or openly root against the other team in their commentating. Unfortunately that's like 70% of the broadcast teams.

Lawler, Napear/Reynolds all get hate, I think because they have their own ways of talking. But they know what they're talking about. And they're good in their respective ways. They should replace Mike Smith with Clipper Darrell though

Lawler is Terrible..

Ireland is an admitted Lakers apolgist though. When really asked, he provides great analysis without being a lakers homer.

but lawler is absolute garbage. I hate his guts

stu lantz doesn't really act like a homer which is why i love him so much
 
lawler tries way too hard to be a homeless mans chick hearn 

i dont think he understands that he makes it hard to root for the clippers
