KG all day!! everyday!!
His game game was more well rounded and he made everyone around him better...can't say the same for Dirk.
Dirk absolutely made his teammates better. You see that janky squad he won with? Or him getting all-stars for the Josh Howards of the world?

KG had a more complete game as an elite defender, but also was never close to the offensive phenom that Dirk was.
Id take KG too KG was good offensively while being elite defensively, you can only like a player for playing one side of the ball so much
I'd take KG over Dirk too, but SLP Product's reasoning behind that is absolutely ridiculous.

Lebron when its all said and done might be the best ever, but strictly from a offensive standpoint? I'd have to disagree there.

Dirk:

Consistency....check
3 pt shot.......check
mid range.....check
off the dribble....check
within the offense....check
fadeaway...check
clutchness/winning factor...check

LeBron has all those as well. Maybe not for the same length of time Dirk has, but he still has them at his disposal.

At the end of the day I'd give Bron a slight edge over Dirk because of his strength and how dominant he can be at times. And Dirk is one of my favorite players.

Also Dirk is no slouch on defense. He definitely isn't as good as KG was in his prime, but you can turn around and say KG wasn't as good on offense as Dirk was either.

Prime Dirk easily and I'm a bigger KG fan.

Is Prokh really on Hot97 talking ****? When both teams suck how does he think that comes off? :smh:

I think you have to consider putting Dirk over Kobe actually in terms of offensive skill. He did it without ever making mistakes of selfishness or becoming a volume scorer.

Now LeBron, has a very special set of gifts. That's tough.

hold up stop the track lets get some understanding.

first of all if dirk wasnt that tall he might not be the same player.

are u really saying dirk is better than kobe?

because who did dirk make better?
and if he did make anyone better could he have done the same with a team of chucky atkins, smuch parker, luke walton, brian cook, kwame brown?

cmon mayne, dirk is good but he is nowhere near where kobe is. the last year dirk wasnt even in the right mindstate, that alone puts kobe above him since kobe is always out to kill

Dirk averaged 34ppg and 16rpg against KG and his Wolves and swept that ***, shot like 73% from 3 too.

sorry, when you don't play defense, you don't get a nod over a guy who's very effective offensively and still really good defensively.

so guys like Dirk, Steve Nash, AI, etc....they aren't getting any nods over a guy like KG

not even close. It's literally 1/2 of the game.

MJ is the GOAT because he played out of this universe on both sides of the ball. MJ, Hakeem, Wilt, insert bonafide (top whatever).

there aren't any slouch defenders in these types of conversations and Dirk is exactly that. so is Steve...and AI. AI at the very least had steals going for him, but him gambling too much was a liability.

If Dirk wasn't tall? What does that have to do with anything .. He is tall... Basketball is a game for tall people

Kg could anchor your defense and still put up double doubles, and could basically guard 4 positions.

All dirk has done was score.......the fact that he still charming soft don't help.

Once again if u ask me who I would take in their prime the answer remains the same KG.

Did Dirk make his teammates better? iDK, but I have seen the kind of impact KG has had on all his teams (nets not counting)

KG was a slouch defender when guarding Dirk though and still very prone to disappear in the clutchest moments so... Y'all really overrating the **** out of a dude who couldn't even get out of the 1st round until they bought 2 other dudes in who wouldn't be scared to take and make big shots, passing the ball off to Gary Trent type dudes with the game on the line while making infiniti dollars. (Spreewell and Cassell) His offensive versatity is/was overrated too. Primarily, he's shooting long 2s off pick and pop action, might pump fake 1 dribble left then shoot it.

What is this, 2000?

Dirk isn't on the same level as KG defensively but he's not a bum like you guys are making him out to be.

Dirk is soft now? Dude is mentally tough as hell. Ridiculous to call him soft just because he is euro.

1) I can't fathom how dirk is a better scorer than Kobe Bryant
2) Dirk has ALWAYS been on a team with all star caliber players and was constantly getting knocked out of the playoffs despite having a superior team.

KG is one of the best defenders ever.... and can be great at everything else on the floor and nobody has ever questioned his heart, he has always went out and put it all on the line.

Asked DeMarcus Cousins about playing Friday, he joked "probably not, think I'll be out rest of the season & I can get a comeback commercial"

Son just wrote a check that his tush cant cash
what do you mean by that?

i mean, i know the expression, but what the hell are you talking about?
I feel like the backlash is going to be real.

Dirk has career playoff averages of 26 and 10. The only other players to do that are Hakeem, Elgin Baylor, and bob petite.

I will never stand for any dirk slander. At 35 years old is still a 20 ppg guy flirting with 50/40/90

Dirk admitted himself he plays no defense, Dirk isn't anywhere close to Lebron which makes the Kenton's 2011 finals performance even more puzzling.
