That Rockets write-up is spot on. Injuries or not, you shouldn't win great team building game against the Spur and Warriors, lay duds against the Jazz and Kings, and get a full-on 'kkaked by the Pacers

Just glad Lowe is giving props to our young guys..

And also pointing out the issues with brooks playing certain guys inspite of their inepititude.. I think thabo's just pressing since he knows he has to show something for someone this summer

We have our 3 guards set in Westbrook, lamb and Jackson.. Then fisher would be the insurance policy, instead of actually playing

Might as well move him to a team like the cavs, who he would be a good fit with kyrie.. Especially if they keep waiters

Tell em why you mad son

Of all the crappy Eastern conference teams the Pistons are the one that I'd want to avoid come playoff time

:pimp:

your #1 in my book

said it a few days ago, all the matchups in the east come playoff time will be terrible but who ever plays the pistons, should be very fun to watch minus the heat. I think they would sweep us

That wheel idea would make things even more unbalanced than it already is in the nba. Imagine you're the next top college player...the orders are pretty much set for 30yrs and you see Utah or the bobcats have the top pick but next yr the lakers or heat get it...dudes will just use that to pick their destination. Like the yr a small market team that struggles gets a top pick watch all the top prospects "decide to continue their studies and stay in school".

That lottery wheel system is never going to happen. that means college kids could basically pick where they want to go because they know where every team is picking every year. Wiggins would stay in school if the bucks had the first pick this year and the Lakers had it next year...

This argument is always funny to me, like all ppl think the same ...you got dudes in college/ the league that just want to get to the NBA and get money/buckets, not sit in class any longer than they have to....Only certain players come into the league thinking bout what team or market they want to play in....you think a dude like Mike Beasley woulda really picked staying in school at K State over playing for the Bobcats ?

I'm late but if you're a top top level elite talent and you have a team behind you, I'd say 80% of the players would choose to stay in school one year and wait if the incompetent bobcats versus the thunder or the chance to pla with a lebron arose :wow:  if you think mike Beasley was actually hitting the books hard in school. Most of these athletes don't even need to show up to class to get a passing grade so that isn't even a problem worth considering. You're telling me Kobe Bryant would've had 1/5th the endorsement deals and marketing potential he had if he played in Milwaukee or Utah? The league is already screwed up and designed to give certain teams benefits and advantages over others so why would you make it even more unfair for teams that can't lure fa's and depend on the draft?

A bad GM or decision maker working for a historically great organization gets a lot more lee way under this wheel system compared to a good young GM gettin their first opportunity at a "less than desirable" market or team. The league is saying. The wheel is just going to funnel best players coming out to play with the best teams. How is that a good thing for competitive balance? Unless y'all want it to be like La Liga where unless you're Barca or MAdrid your team literally has .0001 % chance to win a title, ever. And I don't even think tanking is that big of an issue as it's being blown up to be, it's poor front offices an poor decision making that are the issues. It's not even a guaranteed way to improve but in a realm of bounded rationality why would I NOT do what's best for my org. Long term and in the near future?

Take my team the sixers, they're not literally throwing games on purpose. Our GM saw that retread 30yr old vets sucking and winning 5more games a yr to not make the playoffs or finish an 8th seed and a sub .500 record only to be swept by Miami is a terrible business decision and a losing proposition. So why not have a roster of young players who some may turn out to be valuable as trade assets or building blocks to pair with a potential star player coming out? Like why do you have to give 3 yr deals to known quantities who suck and are inefficient for the sake of "looking like you're trying to win" when in reality you're doing a much greater disservice to your fans, and organization by limiting your mobility and locking the team in mediocrity. Sorry for the long post but that wheel idea is awful and will ruin the league beyond the degree it is now as far as competitive balance. Bad teams with good gms will get things right more often than not you can't make a rule or system to weed out poor decision making and bad management, if you hire the wrong people your org will and should suffer. Like the best teams really need a top 12 pick every 4 years...that is an awful solution imo to an already grossly exaggerated "problem" of tanking.

These Kings announcers are pretty good. A little monotonous, but I haven't heard a lot of homerism from them and they're calling the game fairly.

A good commentary crew for a non-fan should have some personality and style, but I shouldn't have to hear your stupid catch phrases or cringe worthy "jokes" every single minute.
What the what?

Lol

You must not know grant or jerry

laugh.gif
Grant and Jerry, aren't perfect.... at all

Grant, tries to go Gus Johnson everytime a player has a chance to throw it down (which is ironic, since he hates Gus Johnson

), but overall I think Napear does a pretty good job calling the game as he sees it and shows little bias in his in-game analysis. When the Kings are playing badly; he will say it, no excuses.

Jerry is starting to go senile, but he's senile in a sort of cute way... not ******ed/angry senile like a Tom Heinsohn. Jerry actually reminds me a bit of Ralph Lawler, he's just old and enjoying his job.

Other than that, I enjoy their dorky little back and forths, they have great chemistry

Not sure you could really ask for much more from local announcers.
nah he's referring to the fact that around Houston WOMEN LOVE chandler parson's. During the player intro's all you hear are women screaming for him. you don't really think he and harden were talkin about winning 'chips in houston during their recruitment- Nah, they let him know about the ease of Houston women and the fact that Rockets fans could care less about how far they get in the playoffs
