You're right that he's not the abysmal defender he once was, but he isn't a special one either.

I already said I think Rose is a great player.  I just don't think he's nearly as great as some in here seem to believe.  i also don't like the team construction of the Bulls and I would never  expect to win a championship with the smallest player on the court taking the most shots.

why even respond, to say rose is not a good defender shows he doesnt even watch, guards RARELY if ever get off against rose im sure someone has once or twice but it doesn't happen too often if at all

He is a considerably better defender than you think he is...after all, you did say he doesn't play any defense, which to me means you think he is awful on defense.

You make a valid second point, but Isaiah Thomas and Chauncey Billups have done it before - so it has happened, just not frequently. Regardless, I still think we have a good shot at coming out of the East.

Jimmer becomes the 30 ppg scorer we all knew he could become playing off the ball

IT wins 6th man of the year award

Vasquez channels his inner Rondo on the offensive end and averages 8 and 12, while not playing a lick of defense

WildPat develops into a solid 15 and 8 guy as as the perfect compliment next to Cousins

Malone=COY

McLemore and Thornton somehow get minutes and do work

Kings beat the Sixers in 5 games in the greatest finals match up of all time

and somewhere along the way, Seattle gets a team.

We made it to the fourth seed last year without Rose and before Jimmy Butler's emergence.

We made it to the quarter finals, again, without Rose. The Heat might have taken us out in 5 games but it was a competitive 5 games. Plus Deng, Noah and Hinrich was out the whole series. Nate Robinson was our best player that series.

If the Bulls has one issue, it's health. We'll just have to see if they stay healthy this year.
