Gee...I wonder who you could be talking about? *yawn*

I think Mike Conley is good and probably underrated, but I have a feeling if you put him on the Wizards instead of Wall, he might not be effective as he is on the Grizz.

Grizzlies are a much more balanced team. However, there shouldn't be many excuses for the WIzards this year. It is playoffs or bust. A long way to go. We've seen flashes from Wall. ****, the final 25 games last year proved that he has the ability to dominate. There just needs to be consistency. His problem this year is relying too much on his jumper and not reading what the defense is giving him. If you see him drive the lane, EVERYTHING collapses. THis is why the Wizards have had such success w/ the corner 3. If Wall could pick his spots a little better, his game would improve as would the team's. As he goes, so do the Wizards.

John Wall and Bradley Beal is a top 3 inefficient team leading scoring duo, at 35ppg on 39%fg shooting. The other 2 were Gay/Derozan and Walker/Jefferson
how is jefferson on that list when he has played half a game?
He has played in 3 games and is averaging 15ppg on 40.4% from the field, 15.7fgas per game
hard to judge him when he has a nagging ankle problem and has looked stiff in all his games

Well him being the player he is right now has nothing to do with other guys on the team playing elite level basketball  . He's been the Grizz most consistent player in the early part of the season and if anything, he's doing these things despite having two bigs clogging up the lane and two liabilities at the SG and SF position. TBH, I did not think he would be THIS good. He may come back down to the earth later in the year, but now that he's in a new offense, he's playing at an all-star level. (I can't even beleive I just said that  ) . Two years ago when he had 3-4 other guys to take the pressure of the defense off of him in OJ, Gay, younger ZBo and Gasol, then it would make sense for him to have it easy. Now? He's the Grizz only reliable offensive option on the perimeter. The fact that he's doing it efficiently is crazy.

I mean...60% TS, 23.3 PER, 51%FG, 19.1ppg, 5.7apg, 2rpg, 1.7spg and his 3 point shot has yet to start falling. He's a career 37% 3 point shooter and only shooting 30% right now. I think Conley's game would definitely translate over to a team like the Wizards. Think about it...he has Tayshaun Prince and Tony Allen on the perimeter along with two bigs clogging up the lane. Do you know how hard it is to be effective when teams don't have to guard 2 of the other 4 players in your starting five?

I hear you. Conley's balling, no question. Playing much better than Wall right now. I'm just hesitant to say unequivocally that he's a better player than Wall period, given their different situations.

I think the difference between Wall and Conley is that Wall takes what the defense is giving him, while Conley gets the type of shots he wants. I think its just all about growing as a point guard. I'm sure if Wall continues to be a student of the game and learn to pick his spots, he will be much better than Conley. That may be as soon as next season  . Right now, I don't see it because I feel like he relies too much on his physical gifts moreso than his brain. He also needs to learn the halfcourt game a little better.

At the end of the day, Wall has a more balanced team than he's ever had in his early career. A scoring two guard, a post scorer, a defensive anchor and a two way player at SF that can knock down the 3.

John Wall can dougie though and lead his team to an almost .500 record in a season he missed a significant portion of. MAX!
