Son I ran back I'll show you 20 times already. His album wasn't even on my radar. Now I'm definitely checking for it.

Entertainment Weekly gave it a B+

I haven't had a chance to listen but every track he put out before the leak was quality

Flawless album imo based off 2 listens. I'm very positively surprised by this. I expected it to be good based off the singles but I'm enjoying this a lot more than I anticipated.

I've never hated or liked Bieber but is it just me or is he on the verge of winning over a lot of people?

I wondered if he could ever pull off what Timberlake did and it didnt look good earlier on. He's done well cleaning up his act and is putting out great music on top of it. Seems like the eruption of electronic music over the past few years has also helped his career in order to keep moving forward as an artist.

His work with Skrillex definitely broadened his audience. I live in Europe where electronic type music reigns supreme above all else, Bieber been getting tons of radio play with his singles. I also notice it getting a lot of bar play as well and people actually vibing to it.
It's actually become fairly acceptable to listen to Justin now even as a male. 1-2 years ago that'd get anyone clowned.

I think it's really underrated what Journals did to help people see his musical growth

Plus he has a lot of celebrity friends who stood by his side, that Ellen effect is no joke and when you hear him talk he seems generally overwhelmed by his success. People forgot he was a megastar at 13.

I saw absolutely zero impact from Journals where I live. That album turned me to a Bieber fan but on a broad scale I don't think it did much for the general public, at least not in Belgium. Confident got a little radio play but other than that it didn't seem like people paid much attention to him.
He's literally everywhere now though.

The songs were always #1 upon release on iTunes

I don't think they were ever released to radio, it was more to show what was coming and his music wasn't for just teen girls anymore

Just gave it a full spin and damn it was lit :smokin

Might give it another full spin with how dope it was imo

Idk if I just need to listen to it more but it kind of gave me an Usher/JT vibe.. could be way off but I need to listen to it more

Anyone else missing a few tracks?

I'm missing the 'What Do You Mean' remix, 'Home To Mama' and 'Madly In Love'

Doubt he'll ever have an approval rating like JT. JT was never a d-bag in a real life. People just didn't like him because he was in a "boy band". JT was also way more charismatic and had the "look".

Honestly think Bieber's PR team finally got a clue and are promoting him correctly now. This is no different than Chris Brown. CB's music is still hugely popular but the general public still don't like him.
