HOUSTON ROCKETS Thread '14/'15 - Offseason - Picks (+ Jason Terry)

Have y'all seen Beverly on the Mountain Dew billboard going 59 south just before the Hillcroft exit? That's a great marketing fit lol

I don't know if that's the whole clip, but he set that whole part of the interview up. Everything was going smooth, and it was about to end, and Beverly asked Matt Thomas "you're not going to ask about me and Damian Lillard?" Must've really bothered him

Pat Bev is officially my fav player on this team… If heart, hustle, and hard work has a name, it's name would be Patrick Beverley… Thank you Morey

First time we played, they got out to a 13-0 lead and never looked back. Second time we dropped 70 in the first half and wet the bed in the second. Thabo and Perkins out. Hopefully James can get finally play well against them. I wanna see if ibaka actually guards Dwight, or if he goes back to just playing help defense looking for weak side blocks. We could really expose his over aggressiveness if we can a solid stretch 4

.@HoustonRockets 18-1 when Jeremy Lin gets 11+ FGA. In 1 loss to PHI he had 34pts 11ast. Perhaps McHale should get him more shots?

Jeremy Lin leads all #Rockets & 5th among ALL @NBA guards in Clutch scoring% (last 2mins of gm decided by 5pts or less) #Linsanity #Leash

Kind of hard to get field goal attempts when you drive into the paint and pick up your dribble to try and kick it out.

Scoring Jeremy Lin = good (except when he gets overzealous abd tries the 1 on 3 fast break)

Nervous, trying to be a playmaker Jeremy Lin = BAD

Agreed. Instead of forcing his way into the paint, he should take the midrange J when it's there for him. Too often times he'll pick up his dribble when he's in the paint and pivot himself into a double team or TO.

Dunno why the **** he does that so much. Midrange shots would yield good results for him. It's either 3's or Layups with him.

Let's get this win ya'll :pimp: :pimp: Need a total team effort, especially from the bench. Let's see how much OKC misses Perk and Thabo

Legooooooo im ready!!

This is a winnable game imo. Thabo and Perk are out.. Harden and Howard should go OFF!

Adams cant guard Howard so im hoping boys feed him early and keep going to him. If Ibaka is on him just pumfake and get him in foul trouble.. Ibaka jumps at EVERYTHING
laugh.gif

Howard needs to make Adams and Thabbet his *****

I can see D Fish guarding Harden throughout the game.. The way Harden been balling tho no one on the Thunder can stop em.

Pat-Man Vs Westbrook 1st game against each other since... well ya know lol

This game is gonna have a playoff feel to it and I can see things get a little chippy.. Im wondering how the refs are gonna call the game.. Im hoping its better than the Portland game

I would have rather had the Rockets get blown out than to continuously cut leads, only to fumble it away some how. I hate those types of games. It was nice for Garcia to show up, as him and Asik (sort of) were really the only factors off the bench. Dwight's normal production would have more than likely won this game. TJones reverted back to his old self and didn't provide anything. Ibaka is good, but guys shouldn't be getting their shots blocked and diverted at the high rate it happens. Pump fakes make him a non-factor, and the Rockets did not do that at all.

beverly had a couple mental mistakes that really cost us. he's got to play level headed no matter what's going on. i still loved his defensive tenacity early on.

no one could hit anything all game. harden put together a nice stat line, but dwight played like absolute ****. glad we were able fight back though...i've said it before, but i feel like no matter how much we're down by, we're never completely out of a game.

i also feel like we have absolutely no one that can guard kd. garcia did good, but he still doesn't do that well against him. there's absolutely no reason to leave that man to go double someone else and leave him wide open for a jump shot. come on mchale.

Naw. I liked the fact that they cut the leads down and didn't give up. Game was not in our favor with OKC losing Sunday and in OKC but we played badly but put ourselves on a position to win. Cut the lead to within 5 twice, but a botched call (refs again SMH) and a boneheaded contest by Beverley hurt is.
Can't win them all, and TBH I'm not too sure many would bet on is winning this game in OKC.

On to the next one fellas.

Btw, Lin didn't have his best game but man, Asik stays killing his assist totals with the fumbles/miss dunks/slowness and getting fouled. Kinda sorta wished Lin would get more minutes with Dwight.

We can live with kd getting his, but we let Reggie Jackson, Caron Butler, Derek Fisher get buckets. Can't do that

It's so maddening when Asik misses those. Like...the ball is in your hands, and you are a legit 7footer, just Z-Bo jump and dunk it. ****

We really let this one slip away

 Coulda stole this one

Game started off pretty good as far as effort goes but it seemed like in the 2nd and 3rd the effort wasnt there. We werent getting those rebounds and loose balls

There were some questionable calls by the refs but at least it wasnt as bad as portland game. I dont know if it was just me but it felt like OKC was getting away with pllaying more physical on defense and we were getting called for a lot of fouls.

Asik had a few WTF plays

but thats expected with him now

Hes gonna have at least 2 missed layups or dunks every game smh

Lin was too inconsistent.. he makes a few good plays then ***** up on defense and keeps going under screens and bam open shot after shot

First off **** Steven Adams
mean.gif
Dude consistently takes cheap shots and exaggerated 2 fouls on Howard smh

Adams played some decent defense on Howard imo.. It wasnt great at all what was great was the team D.. Ibaka was doubling every single time Howard would get into his move and go in the paint..

IMO it was on the coaching staff to switch things up but they didnt. They did switch stuff up later but by then it was too late.

Howard had a pretty bad game tho he had to play better and he didnt. Missed easy shots and had a few TOs..

Garcia was

hoping he can get some playing time in the playoffs

Harden wasnt aggresive as I would have liked in the 1st half and I think that hurt us some..

Harden is CLUTCH tho

He made some plays to keep us in the game late but some boneheaded play by Bev and some
