No it wasn't that bad. It wasn't bad at all. It is his best album to date and besides a couple tracks aimed at the stripper crowd, the album meshes really well. Personally, it was one of the best hip hop projects to release all year. As far as hip hop and rap goes, it deserved to be on that list, but considering the history between Complex and Wale, this wasn't much of a surprise to me. Dude may be emotional, but at least he's passionate about his work and thinks it deserves the proper recognition. Can't say that for many rappers out now.

The ether is Complex showing the lists they've put Wale on, which totally negates the reason he's upset.

2) I could understand him being frustrated not Like Wale's project was great or anything but this is the same list that included a young thug & migos album on the top 50 of the year....... And trap lord is #8 overall ( I love the traplord album personally but top 8 of the year?)

If i'm a rapper who put work into my sound and came up with a decent album and see that young thug is above me on any list i'm automatically tuning said publication the **** out. Complex is again one of those publications like fader that has helped polish up a lot of **** and make it look like it's worth something so technically this list shouldn't be credited at all. someone in hiphop has to start a median online that REALLY ranks hiphop because all this "it's funny it amuses me" **** that some blogs are on is killing the culture slowly. Music literally has become just entertainment...
 
I love Wale but I got into it on IG yesterday with one of is suburbanite stans after I posted a comment about how I didn't feel like the album deserved to be on the list.

Dudes saying The Gifted is Wale best work are delusional. I actually listen to that album the least which is sad to say because at one point Wale was probably my favorite rapper out. Other than Heaven's Afternoon and LoveHate Thing the album had alot of passable material for me.

If the List didn't have certain things on it i could understand that because the gifted wasn't "good" in my opinion but when you put up a birdman/ ross collabo mixtape that NOBODY made a peep about at some point you have to feel like they're just ******g with you :lol:
 
Regardless of whether Juicy is trash or not he has no reason to call his name, especially after doing several songs with him. That's just wrong.
 
I mean that could be true... But really why are dudes taking Complex this serious, their list have notoriously been ***.... Its not like Complex giving or Grammys or anything ,

outside of the fact that they have a decent website and magazine subscription they are still just a bunch of people with various opinions. Who gives a ****, if your fans love it and are still supporting what he crying for?
