You don't have to care, which is why I said it is "your choice" but that wasn't the point anyway. Do you expect the chef to come out and say you disrespected his abilities by ordering his signature dish like a 6th grader does his school lunch salisbury steak. No, they'll try to cater to you so their waiter/waitress can get a decent tip...but that's not coming either. 12 separate checks too please!

The system is screwed up, but food costs are high and mom and pop diners get by on the slimmest of margins. They keep your food affordable by paying the waitress so little, with the expectation that people will tip 15% on average. Would you rather pay $20 plus your unwritten but expected share of a $4 tip, or have it be a wholly fair system and pay $40?

Telling waiters and waitresses to go find a better job or start a union is easier said than done. If people have such an issue with the system, why do they want to punish those making less than minimum wage instead of the chains that bring in millions? If you're so strongly against the system, why not boycott it? No, we would rather write up essays justifying being cheap and place blame on the little guys.

You talk about lame, but you would really go on a company dinner with your coworkers and boss and ask for separate checks so you can skip leaving a tip? This is no different than inviting your friends over to watch the game and you have them save the plastic forks to be washed, its 110 degrees but you won't turn on the A.C., and you decided against high definition because the cable company was trying to get an extra ten bucks. You have the right to justify all these things, but no-one around you will enjoy themselves.

We live in a society where we will spend $300 on shoes or headphones that cost little to make, but can't drop 2 bucks on a dinner tab because of our principles.

Of course it's my choice, that goes without saying. As far as I see it me not caring about what ppl say behind my back is simply my standards. Those who part take in such day to day lameness can go roll on broken glass.

What ******g 6th grader orders steak for school lunch? Where you pulling these metaphors from? :lol: **** the chef. His job is to make the food I ordered, the way I ordered it. He can have his opinions and even make a fool of himself by judging me but it's largely irrelevant when it comes to things that matter. You seem to think being a chef or being a waiter is a job that's suppose to be convenient and not a job. If I ask for a separate check, I should get one. If I don't I'll just pay for how much my food cost. This self entitlement is just egregious. Is it some chore to give customers separate checks now? Is doing that deserving of a tip now? Do your job. You shouldn't be tipped for doing your job.

Food costs are high and that's why they charge so damn much for the food they make. Therefore, I should be able to order what I want, the way I want and not be expected to bow down to some made up subjective rule of thumb where I have to order a steak a certain way and then tip the ppl for taking my order and bringing me my food. That they expect to be given extra money for doing those things is exactly what's wrong with society.

There are no company dinners so no that situation would not apply to me but if I found myself in that situation I'd ask for a separate check, use my card and not tip like I usually do. If it's some weird social situation where I'm being forced/pressured in to tipping I'm still not going to. That's ridiculous.

I don't waste hundreds on shoes or headphones. Just cuz that's how society is doesn't mean everyone in it is like that. Nor should it mean that I should pick up for those that do waste money on other things.

If you expect to be tipped for doing your job, something is wrong with you.

There is no reasonable, nay logical explanation for anyone should be compelled to tip a waiter for doing their job which entails taking and order and getting it right, refilling drinks, checking on customers in a timely manner, and bringing your food to you. If there is a good reason you should tip in those situations then that means there's an equal and even more important responsibility to tip ppl in other professions when it entails carrying out tasks for others be it for convenience or crucial.

If it was as simple as me being cheap I'd say so. The idea that I should pay you to do something and then tip you extra money for doing it is ridiculous. Charge the amount you need according to your means and living situation.

I'd be damned if I ever paid any of the handful of barbers I had in my life especially when you add up the inconvenience of the customer. **** that.

Like how you sound establish good rapport? Why not just give ya barber a blowjob after he line you up?

In BK, they seem to raise prices every summer. I was screwed for the longest until I moved for a while cuz my barber from since I was 10 just disappeared on me. Went to this spot close to me but son would take 2 hrs to give you a Cesare, I wouldn't dare ask for a fade. Son was not that confident in his skills cuz he wouldn't give anybody a part or do anything different upon request. To this day I never seen anybody take that long to cut hair. When I finally get a reg thing going prices done sky rocketed to $15 and $ 18. I was actually pissed I had facial hair by then. Now I cut it by myself. Plus I'm hearing it's costing $10 for a shape up now a days. I'm sorry but I am not some female out here wasting money on haircuts. Call me cheap but the task aint fitting the price.

So barbers especially won't get tipped from me.

As much as Pac gets hated on here he would've stuck with his thing IMO.

I think big wouldve dropped two more albums then layed low & became a ghost writer, he said he didnt like the industry because it was too fake, he didnt seem like the type to wanna be in his mid 30s-40s still rapping
