Baseball dugout vs. Soccer dugout

baseball players need a space to stretch their legs from all the standing they do on the field lol

baseball is scared of change because tradition and nostalgia is one of the reasons people are still into it. if someone invented baseball on some college campus today it wouldn't become a national sport it would just be a drinking game

Did someone really just make a thread comparing baseball dugouts and soccer dugouts?  Really?

Why do soccer ones have plush seats and baseball ones have benches?  Hmmm maybe because there are exponentially more people in a baseball dugout than a soccer one.  Ever think about that?

And this is also putting aside the ridiculous premise that baseball dugouts havent changed over time.  As if the pictures you posted are the same as these:

Having players feel comfortable while resting doesn't make sense. Wearing pink to help raise $ for their own profit does..

baseball has foul balls...unless they are putting up cages like they do in HS/rec baseball diamonds, the lowered area + raised fence provide protection

I wasn't aware that baseball dugouts had heated benches in the 1940s. I also wasn't aware that they had cooling benches either back then. Not to mention that baseball dugouts can fit more people in them, offer more protection for the players, and are hidden away so they can have privacy during the games and confrontations aren't out in the open if there are any. Also, most dugouts have a hallway that leads directly to their clubhouse/batting cages so that players can watch film in between innings and pinch hitters can take practice cuts before they enter the game. Maybe you should learn more about the sport and why the dugouts are the way they are, cause they definitely aren't on some 1940's ****.
