Again. When there's no accountability for ones actions irrational behavior happens.

In an ideal world these releases would be handled smoothly. As seen in some of the videos that isn't the case.

People got down and fought eachother but later kept it moving and went about there day despite causing chaos and foolishness.

If people aren't going to act right, put the cuffs on em and take em down to the station and let it be a lesson learned.

Your giving people to much credit here. They should know better then to fight over shoes but since its been proven otherwise hold them accountable for their actions. Same with Black Friday shoppers or anything of they nature.

One word. Fear. It's not about being civilized, it's about their own personal safety and piece of mind.

Letting off shots in a crowded mall becasue someone tried to fight you with their fists is the civilized, non-savage thing to do, right? Clowns.

Then to come in here and post derogatory comments about people who you don't know based on a 15 second video clip and proceed to talk about using a gun on these people? And you think your civilized? You think you are not a savage when you get a hard on talking about murdering people you find undesirable. Clowns. Both of you.

institutional changes are so much more effective than personal...

Not taking out accountability for people...

But I will liken it to the financial industry...

Yeah... Guys could STOP CHEATING the system... Acting a fool... Stealing money...

But its more effective and realistic to change the SYSTEM... Impose penalties and regulations to stop it before it even begins...

Because people are gonna people...

Same with the releases... Yeah, guys need to be held accountable... But imposing a different SYSTEM is much more realistic.
 
All of the shoe stores need to do what FinishLine did...hold a raffle/draft a month before the release. You sign up online and if your name is picked, you come pick the shoes up between 8-10am. Simple.

If the shooting them part is extreme then press assault charges and get them locked up in jail. But those idiot are innocent in your eyes and putting them in jail would be doing them a disservice.

if people choose to skip lines and be disrespectful they should get a beating. most of these fights begin from someone doing some stupid **** anyways. Not nikes fault that ppl skip lines and cant act orderly. If the store wants to prevent that they can have someone controlling the line and have a list/do roll call to prevent potential skippers.

Eh, this is a situation where you have to consider the demographic and the best way to reduce trouble.

It's a lot easier to change the reservation system than it is to change the mentality and behavior of thousands of teenagers, some with really troubled childhoods that have resulted in above-average aggression and violent behavior. It's really simple, just eliminate all in-store sales and move everything to online ordering. You get the product in the comfort and safety of your own home, and greatly reduce any deaths/injuries that would otherwise be rampant with these store launches.

Actually, this is a great IDEA ......

Being saying that **** all along - Drop the shoes QS style with no warning .... Just limit the sale to one per customer so one person can buy them all and keep it moving. 
 
Then employees and their friends buy up all the stock. The answer Imo is make more an supply the demand.

But creating demand is what caused nike to become NIKE. SO they going to continue what they doin and throw little press releases to 'verbally combat' the violence

I seriously doubt (but I can be way wrong) that if a pair of kicks is to go on sale today right now, that any single store will generate big strong lines. I bet mostly everyone will call first to make sure they have it before making their way out to a store as well ...

and like 21mercer never does when a in demand shoe drops for example the bel air 5's the galaxy foams & countless other shoes
 
I think it'll just start a different problem. They'd be people posted there every night waiting for random drops

I'll make this real simple for you to understand.

They were kids, teenagers. They were fist fighting. It happens literally every single day all across the country. Normal people don't witness it and start babbling about conceal and carry and what they would do if they had the opportunity to be in that position. You have psychological issues. Period. G'nite.
 
give everyone a standardized test and the highest scores get the shoes shipped to their house

Do it like SBs back in the gap.

"They'll release sometime in (insert month here)....at select retailers.."

Each release at a different retailer on different day of the month. If a retailer gets caught leaking info, taking pre orders, raffling ect, nix 'em.
