I understand that but please save the bs. That's like saying you'd never buy something off the street bc you know it's stolen

It isn't bs these are facts. I'm saying it isn't condoned here and it isn't. You can give a million reasons why YOU think it is ok It doesn't change the facts. It isn't a judgement on you as a human being it is the rules of this message board.

And no I don't buy anything off the street stolen or otherwise...believe it or not.

Lmao, so true. But it is a judgement on him. The "I can't get the real thing, so I'll buy knock-offs" speaks a lot about a person's character. And this doesn't apply to shoes only.

I know this is mike talk but does buying fake shoes really matter in the real world and say something about someone's character? Lol dude is just enjoying the design he wanted to enjoy.

Real or fake at the end of the day they are just tennis shoes that won't mean anything in a couple of years when the next new sneaker has caught our eye or maybe he'll have moved on to bigger and better things than a simple sneaker.

No point in bashing. He's just enjoying the design the best way he can since adidas didn't make enough. Props to having the courage playa :pimp:

True that, at the end of the day who gives a F what some random guy on NT thinks.  Just as long as the person rocking them isn't trying to stunt like it's the real deal.

I'm saying lol people are so stupid. I bought fake yeezys so that means I'd buy a fake lambo. Where do you come up with this logic?

I just can't go with rockin fakes.

I'm sure I could get away with it, but just knowing that I have fakes on will ruin it for me.

With that being said, a file will be claimed and these will be shipped back to the seller.

Thanks for all the help.

There were 4 different factory of fakes. Out of those 4 only 1 factory had the real sneaker to make a mold from. While those are close the strap color is off and the suede doesn't look dark enough

 people take shoes too seriously. I think spending 2000 on a shoe just to dress like a rapper says more about your character in a negative way than buying fakes and admitting to just being a fan of the design. I can understand paying big money for an OG Jordan 1 or something but for a shoe made by a rapper that just came out? You're obviously looking for the approval of other males with these especially if you're actively seeking out people to throw thousands of dollars at just to say "I got em". If you like the design then more power to you but to try to justify the cost for them is just you lying to yourself ...do you guys thing think replica Shelby owners are not real car collectors? :smh:

Lol i wasn't saying you, just the type of person, since we were judging off "Character"

To each's own though, do what ever makes you happy.

^^This^^

This is the reason why I will never wear customs also.

those guys are deconstructing the real shoe

then putting it back together using different materials.

Although it looks good it is not what Nike or Jordan intended so I consider them fakes.

Especially when you customize a Jordan 1 and the wings logo is missing
mean.gif

Jay z  rocked the top pair and look at that shape, horrible.  Why is the swoosh so high.  Where is the wings logo?

This pair is beautiful, but the wings logo is missing so they are fake.

Plus Jordan Brand never retrod this model using real python material.

Yet, people rocked these fooling themselves into believing they were wearing the real thing.

SMH

Damn what happened to this thread...

I don't care if someone wants to rock fakes, its not for me but if he is ok with it then rock on. I don't judge and I don't care.  Ya'll are quick to throw out the 'why you worried about how another man spends his money' but those same people are for some reason worried about 'how another man spends his money'.

To the guy up there - customs are not fakes.  Its a custom.  WTF is going on in here.

I really don't understand this logic, particularly on a sneaker forum. Fakes, knockoffs, gray market versions of popular models can be had relatively easy and have been for years. If buyers chose to go that route, it's their right but on an ENTHUSIAST forum there's really no place for it. We don't dedicate hundreds of pages of discussion to unauthentic items. You can collect practically anything; authentic sneakers, fake sneakers, classic cars, kit cars, replica cars, etc. but it's best not to get them confused with one another because they aren't the same thing. There's a lot of opinion being passed off as fact in your post and what I think you need to understand is, some people are just not willing to buy something that they know is fake and being passed of as the real thing. And that's really it, if you can afford to pay resale then go for it, if not then move on (like we're forced to do with thousands of shoes, products, people etc in life) but trying to discern ones character on either side of the argument is a bit silly.

I'm not trying to stunt. I like the shoe and had to resort to fakes be of the reselling ********. I also got a pair of frag 1s coming too. If you read through this thread I've told my story. I made plenty of good offers to resellers for both of these shoes only to be told it's too low. That's when I realized I'm crazy and if I can get something that looks relatively the same that are 'fake' then I really don't give a **** be this sneaker game has turned to real horse ****. I'm sure most of you here don't remember being able to walk in a store and get a sneaker right off the rack for retail. I do and that's why I refuse to play this reseller game anymore
You are trying to stunt though. You're tired of the reseller game (understandable) but you still wanna pretend like you're playing the game (which is lame).

You're trying to have it both ways - get out the game that's become lame, but pretend you're still in it. That's frontin. Unless you tag a "FAKE" sign on the shoe, the fact that they are trying to pass as Adidas means you're lying to the people around you.

"I made plenty of good offers to resellers for both of these shoes only to be told it's too low."

Sorry man but if you're not paying what the market bears you didn't make a good offer. End of story. I wouldn't pay that ******** price either but if I say I'm out the game I'm actually out the game, not pretending I got a pair.

No shade to the guys here posting the details on their reps - in the end it's helpful to all and they're straight owning up to it. But I guess what I have a problem with is the justification of it saying they're tired of the sneaker game, or they're not lying to anyone about them being real when they wear them (this argument is hilarious). If you shady just be shady and own up to it.

I feel you, I dont own any fakes nor would I wear them because there is no shoe that I want that badly but I dont think it speaks on a persons character that is buying them for his own use... now if he's passing them off as authentics and selling them then there's a problem but people are coming at him like he's beneath them because he's not willing to pay used car money for a pair of shoes.

Sarcasm

but the point was the only thing that is original to the shoe is the sole and insole, but it is considered real

I'm just poking fun at how sneakerheads justify BS.

I mean, I think the correct way to say it is that "customs" and homages are quite different from either "real" pairs or the fakes trying to pass as real. Everyone knows the snakeskin makeups up top aren't a Nike release. Same with the Hender Scheme "Jordans" and other homages they do:

I don't like customs but I don't think they're morally wrong. I don't like Spizikes either and I'd put them in the same category. There's a different between someone saying "this is my homage to an iconic design" and someone who goes on shady Chinese websites that have poor enough english skills to name their stuff "super duper perfect 100% time quality" and wears them out as if they WERE the real thing.

Without getting into whether fakes are wrong or not or should be banned from here or not (I'll let previous posts on the matter speak), let's just not pretend that customs and fakes are the same.
