The Combat Jack Show Thread

Why do we care so much whether or not Joe is a woman beating liar?

Everyone's beating a dead horse here.

Especially when it was four years ago. This isn't some new revelation. If Joe wanted to hide what happen, he wouldn't have done a song about it.

I remember that interview. Probably got tired of explaining it because people hear what they wanna hear. I wouldn't bother either

Precisely

I also think joe was already done with Tax after he tried the wu tang stunt so he could have asked him what he had for breakfast and be would have got the same answers

I think he was done at the very beginning. Tax went from trying to clown him, to asking legit questions, to badgering him about his answers.

Joe asked what are we doing and questioned him a couple of times like he's a **** interviewer.

Joe was mad disrespectful about the Hollow line of questions. I wouldn't have blamed Tax for getting upset at that.

New brilliant idiots talking about Tax and Joe, and apparently Meek told CTG he was going to see him at power house.

Rosenberg did his subminals at Rap Radar joking them about the numbers thing. He even mentioned how Rap Radar doesn't post them anymore  I have to agree with Rosenberg on this. It's corny how Elliott is doing this competition thing. So you're bragging about numbers, but you're a blog and you aren't going to provide a portion of hip hop information to make sure your numbers are higher?

He realized that how he operated at XXL wouldn't work at Rap Radar, but he hasn't realized it on the podcast front.

Can you summarize what they said

Chatty mentioned it on the radio the other day about the Meek thing. Saying he saw **** Philly and asked him about it.

Apparently someone approached CTG saying "Meek says he's gonna see about you" while they were at power house. C says bet, his crew is on the "f it let's take the fight to him" steeze but he's saying chill. Starts talking about he has undercover shooters that can legally kill (cops) so he's not worried. Then Meek's manager (who apparently is named racoon philly minus the ra and that's the dumbest **** ever) seeks out CTG and asks for a conversation. The manager says that ctg is creating a lane for meek to get clowned and ctg essentially tells him that meek is doing all that to himself by making continually corny moves in front of everyone. He asked the manager what's the word on meek saying he was going to snuff c and the manager said meek never said it.

All around corny rap stuff but it helps the time go by.

"You talk to this ****** everyday?"

You don't have to be that smart when your host is steady knocking back cups of the dark.

Tax was on him from the jump. He was being subtle with jabs from the get go, then progressively got worse.

Damn. Listening to Lip Service...and that Mia Issabela trans chick confirmed she **** w/ Tyga.

Said he was #4 on his roster , and his side dude.

 I was shocked when I heard this. The person says he still has his meat, just tatas on top :smh:

Why does Joe deny any physical altercation with Esther now? That's what I don't get

A old breakfast club interview with Joe went like this

Charlemagne: Esther said she was pregnant and you sat on her stomach
Joe: that's definitely not true I sat below her chest because she tried to toss my laptop

Maybe I'm confused, isn't the stomach below the chest?

He's a liar there's nothing witty and cool about it

I remember that interview when he tried explaining the situation. To be honest though, who wants to keep answering the same questions every damn interview? Not to mention he knew Tax was trying to set him up. Guilty or not, I'm not going to implicate myself on someones show to boost their ratings and potentially mess up my situation.

Tax was being a ***** that entire interview, and Joe is the type of ***** to not fall for the okie doke. Tax was baiting him hoping he would slip up so he can have an excuse to wild out. Joe didn't give him that opportunity so he caught feelings.

I also think joe was already done with Tax after he tried the wu tang stunt so he could have asked him what he had for breakfast and be would have got the same answers

Joe was done from the first few minutes . I don't even know why he would go on his show. Joe doesn't need Tax, and Tax doesn't need Joe.

Joe is a sociopath and Tax is a street n'.

Those two things don't mix well.

My-T.

Word.

and I bet Schultz the whole time was saying how stupid it was and how stupid Meek and rappers are.

I can't stand that dude. Someone needs to smack him up.

Schulz is usually a toss up for me. Sometimes he says the dumbest **** I've ever heard and other times I agree with him. Same can be said for how I view Charlemagne.

When Tax goes "so you gotta album coming out"

5 seconds later

"HUH?!"

That **** is so funny
the funniest part to me tbh

kinda wanna listen but I'll pass....andrew annoying

This was one of the better Brilliant Idiots Podcast. It gets really good in the last 30 minutes when they start talking about hip hop.

Charlemagne really is a hip hop head. Like dude really knows his rap music from all regions. He trolls a lot....and I don't always agree with his opinion, or like how he lets Shulz slide on some slick ****, but the CTG drops gems from time to time.

CTG made a excellent point about living somewhere without a music scene so you listened to music from all over.

Columbia House was the OG pirating :nthat:

I related to that 100%. Exactly what I was saying in the NY thread. Growing up in Baltimore, I came up on 3-6, Dipset, Jay Z, Nas, Gucci, Boosie, Gotti, Snoop, Hot Boyz, DMX.

There's something to be appreciated from EVERY region in hip hop.

charlamagne made a great point about the music

i don't think I've ever heard someone make the point that some of us lived threw both era's so we kinda do have the right to say one is better than the other , but understand y someone younger wouldn't understand

There era where you were more impressionable and had nothing to compare it against also gives you the same bias that the young people have

Look at how jaded we are with sports especially basketball.

That's why sometimes I ask how old were you when such and such come out. Because I know as a kid I have a different appreciation and nostalgia than what I have as an adult, but I still have the awareness to recognize that. I realized that in the Mase discussion, with how loved Mase is by some. Kids have a different appreciation of Mase than adults did. Adults, Bad Boy and the shiny suit era one of the reasons the underground scene became so strong in the late 90's early 2000's. Because Bad Boy and No Limit were "ruining" hip hop. Now I laugh, because compared to now it's

As far as the Combat Jack Show is concerned, I was more of a fan when Dallas Penn, Matt Raz and DJ Benahmeen were part of it. I have a lot of respect for Combat and Premium Pete and what they do but the older shows (2010-2013) were much more entertaining. Dallas was the wildcard and Ben had the dope playlists. There was better banter back then. I've met most of these dudes, even attended their BBQ in Brooklyn in 2011. Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Jon Connor, Statik Selektah, Party Supplies (among others) all performed for free and there was free food. Dallas has his own podcast now with his wife (met her once, very cool person), I still need to check it out. But I pine for the older shows tbh.

Ice T probably has the best podcast as far as that right now. As far as talking and being entertaining.

I miss those days on Combat.

Those old Combat Jack shows were great but I can't front, I used to skip those Benhameen mixes.

Seen the chick from the joe Budden podcast on hot 97 sitting next to Laura styles and Rosenberg. She either has prime box or premium head because there's nothing remotely attractive about that chick
