The Combat Jack Show Thread

Bryson tiller
Torey lanes

That's a couple of artist.

Jay is like 50, Dr Dre and Puff. They stand above everyone else. They're pop culture icons, not just rap or hip hop.

That isn't Drake's lane. Drake is just a rapper. Jay-Z is a whole hell of a lot more. Drake is Wayne or Snoop.
Dre is an imposter
Doesn't write his raps or make beats
He has ghost producers
Can't stand how folks always overlook this
He's a sucka
And can only beat up women
Lil punk *** imposter
Ol sheep in wolfs clothing
Tryna be big and bad
Booty bumper lookin boy

Puff a leech no more needs to be said
He's a parasite
Feeding on a host till it withers and dies and moves on to the next

50 just too hood to remember he is in the music business and not the streets

Jay a slithering snake

Right

Nobody was rapping about being in a trap house, breaking down the dope game before him. You just wrong bruh.
Pimp C was in the early 90s

And ti didnt introduce no damn trap to rhe game.

His album being named trap muzik dont mean he was the founding father of that movement.

Right

Bruh just cause he used the word trap???? :smh:
Ugk
Too short
And plenty others talked about the "trap"
Just had different names for it

 And I know Scarface and UGK and plenty of other rappers talked about the dope game. I grew up listening to them.

I'm talking what we hear now. Trap rappers. T.I opened the door for Jeezy, Gucci, Yo Gotti. And they opened the door for all these new _'s we hear now.

Ti ain't open the door for jeezy
Jeezy woulda still been jeezy
Ti WISHES he had an album as great as tm101

I hated the Drake and Jay comparison, it just doesn't make sense in anyway. Jay wasn't "the guy" until The Blueprint or Black Album dropped. Drake was huge once he got that Lil Wayne and Trey Songz co sign. That was before his official album even dropped. Then everyone jumped on and gave him a co sign.

TI didn't start **** but that Dope Boyz song was hard as ****. Was playing that last week.

Black album would be considered Jays musical peak?

Do you think Drake is bigger now or then?

I think Drake most popular time frame would be Take Care, maybe NWTS. It's close. He's still popular and has been since he came out but I think he's lost some steam over the last year or two.

Can't have a musical peak
When ur music is TRASH

Jay is 20 years + in, has dominated rap and has a better catalog that 98% of rap.... Not to mention he can still put out better records than 90% of the "hot" guys out now.. so it's kind of hard to find motivation when you've killed for two decades

Now back to the podcast thing got about an hour into Brilliant Idiots & here comes schultz with his dummy logic of why must anyone claim hiphop culture. He's like the epitome of the white guy who just doesn't understand & fells offended when he's excluded from anything. It's like he just can't wrap his mind around him not being involved in ANYTHING that happens in america.

Jay era was PAC big nas
He couldn't get any shine until they died
If they wouldn't have died
And nas put out I am
Jay would still be a nobody
Wouldn't be surprised if he was a co-conspirator
With big gone he could take his rhymes all willy nilly
Ol snake self
if not for hard knock life (the song)
And dmx blessing him on money cash ****
He woulda BEEN gone
Ol bum self

The hate you have for a man you'll never know is crazy. I felt like a tear came from your eye while texting this too. Go enjoy life man, you sound old and bitter.

I think he plays that up on the show/podcast as if that's his character on both. Its still lazy and not as clever as he thinks he is.

I saw a video on youtube from their podcast with wax talking about rape and it was really weird how he kept laughing at Wax being molested and him possibly assaulting women.

I think you know why this is. That privilege. They aren't used to not being dominant.

Tory Lanez
Bryson Tiller

And a few other semi-famous soundcloud rappers.
