I dont totally agree with this. But it's not a diss if you say afterwards "this isnt a diss"/"I dont have beef". Or atleast its not worth responding to.

Well I haven't heard neither of these ****** say each others name. Kendrick made the control verse and drake got in his feelings and ain't wanna be friends then he clearly dissed him on the cyphers, but as stated this ain't about that.

Mac had a number 1 independent album on Billboard not too long before he dropped Control. He was the first in a while to do that

Ehhh i guess this all makes sense. Blue Slide Park was the album that went #1 but after that i dont think he ever another #1 album. Mac isnt a bad rapper or even a bad producer tho. His production on Vince Staples Stolen Youth mixtape was cool. Just aint see him as an elite name Kendrick should want to name drop & takeover even outta the newer guys
