You comparing him to the wrong dudes. Gates isn't a trap rapper. He can potentially be right up there with Kendrick and Cole. Can't just pigeon hole him as just a southern trap artist.

he still needs a image to portray, he doesnt have the potential to be another ti,ross, 2chainz,gucci,jeezy,migos etc

trap rappers that had a image to succeed on that mainstream level
 
IDK about the Idea of Meek falling off or going away would lead to a down south rapper taking that spot

If anything i think it would have to be an east coast artists to take that line

But Drizzy beating Cole.

I dunno why all of a sudden dudes rate Cole so highly. He was in the same lane as Drake until the conscious turn.

Agreed

Technically, I feel a lot of artists can out lyric Drake but that's not what I value the most
