Son out his crazy *** mind. Tho music is subjective, most usually agree on certain things. Like if u asked majority of hip hop heads who are the top 5 best MCs ever, I'm pretty sure 95% of those list will look nearly identical in different orders. #5 might differ but u won't find drakes name on anyone older then 22s list man.
 
Nobody will tell u drake is one of the best ever b. Not right now, unless they are children. They won't even tell u he's top 5, of this generation? Someone could argue that if they felt that way but ever? Nah, he not one of the best ever.

I'm 24 and Drake is in my top 5 :lol:

But as you said, it's based on personal preference.

But he's in MY top 5. I didn't say all time, which I personally wouldn't put him in that discussion, but I can see why somebody would.

Only person you named that's also in there is Hov. I'm sure somebody had Tech-9 or some random N in they top 5, so it is what it is. I don't see how you can say somebody is wrong for how they feel.
 
Jay ain't in my top 5 nore pac all that greatest off all time is subjective as hell.

Top 5 at this moment is what matter and could be argued but best of all time is pure opinion based.

Overrated by WHO? If it's people that don't know the culture why does their ratings matter?

If Drake is STILL in his prime, 6 years later that's exceptional, I mean who's had a 6 year prime in the history of hip-hop? There can't be too many. That alone places him in a VERY exclusive group.

How many eras have their been in hip-hop, I would say 8-10 possibly (every 4-5 years) if Drake is top 5 of this wouldn't he be one of the BEST by default? Or is this era with KRIT, Kendrick, Cole etc THAT much worse than prior ones?

And for the record I never said a specific number as in Top 5-10-15. I simply said he was ONE of the BEST hip-hop artist EVER.
 
Why do ya'll argue about whos allowed to be in a top 5 lol who the hell cares enjoy the damn music

I've noticed people almost find it mandatory to have the usuals in their ranking...pac, big, etc...like thats the safe route when mentioning a top 5...this music **** affects everyone in different ways

See because people believe that all opinions are valid. And that's just not true. There are wrong opinions. And there are just some artists that are no where near top 5 of anything.

Drake will be looked at as a "legend" too.

Vince put up good stats, great highlights, consistent for a long time....but never got a ring (classic album). Always left you wanting more....and won't be remembered as a top SG/SF in the grand scheme of things.
