Niners knew he was going to be released not biting on that 3rd rounder.

Eagles try to save face and say chip and djax have a good relationship bla bla bla but once they couldnt find a taker for a third he was released and now word hes some big bad crip.

Im sure more than 50% of nfl players have some sort of affiliation with some gang,

Just give djax a ******** of incentives.

Here comes Djax !!!

We use that 1st rounder on a db

This needs to happen!!

Agreed. If we are just taking the actual games into account (not the fact that one was pretty much our last hurrah before almost a decade of futility, and the other was pretty much the declaration game that we are BACK), I totally agree with you.

The Giants playoff game was easily a better game than the Saints divisional game. And I too, was at both.

You are very fortunate to have been there.

Speaking of which, Pierre Thomas lives in our building during the offseason. I've run into him a few times, nice guy.

Yes, agreed.  I am very blessed to have a father who is a die hard 49er fan, and paid for 10 years of season tickets for me.  I've been to a ton of the more historic games at the Stick.  Sucks having to pay my own tickets for the past 8 years.....but such is life growing up.

San Jose police arrest 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver

KTVU

SAN JOSE, Calif. —
San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver, who missed last season with a torn ACL and caused a stir with his comments before the Super Bowl two years ago, was arrested Friday for felony hit-and-run and weapons possession, authorities said.

According to the San Jose police, they received a call at around 10:21 a.m. reporting that a bicyclist had been struck by a car with fled the scene at Tully near Senter Road in San Jose.

An eyewitness saw the accident and followed Culliver’s vehicle until he cornered him in the area of Mekler Court. He attempted to block Culliver’s vehicle from leaving.

Authorities said Culliver got out of his car, threatened the eyewitness with brass knuckles and then got back into his vehicle and fled. In the process, he struck the eyewitness’ car.

San Jose police arrived on the scene and took Culliver into custody without incident.

A search of the vehicle uncovered the brass knuckles, authorities said.

He was arrested for felony hit and run for striking the bicyclist, reckless driving causing an injury, felony possession of brass knuckles and misdemeanor hit and run for the striking the vehicle.

The bicyclist was treated and released with minor injuries.

Culliver was booked into Santa Clara County jail.

The 49ers released a statement saying they were aware of the incident.

“The 49ers organization is aware of the recent matter involving Chris Culliver,” the statement released to KTVU. “We will remain in contact with Chris and the local authorities as we continue to gather the facts regarding this situation. As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will reserve further comment at this time.”

Will the Niners give him a 2nd chance?  For instance, if he decides he needs to go to rehab/therapy for anger/substance abuse (was he on one?)...something similar with Aldon Smith where he proved that he's willing to change.  But I can see the Niners releasing him because he's not an Aldon Smith caliber player and he actually hurt someone.
