I dont see how or why he wouldn't clear waivers.  I mean....why would a team claim him, pay him, while he rehabs an injury....only to become a free agent after the season?
 
wasn't it no more than a week ago that harbaugh. said the team still had plans for hunter in the future? damn

I dont see how that has changed though.  The only thing that the injury has changed is the fact he cant play in 2014.  I still think we could re-sign him in the offseason.
 
Business move. Same process as Gaffney and Bowie. Sneak Hunter through waivers onto IR to free up a roster spot.

Any team adding Hunter through waivers has approximately 6 months to sign him to a new deal.

I agree that his on-field production doesn't warrant overt praise, but I think he was more impactful in that defenses had to respect him as a legitimate vertical threat. Between him, Vernon, and Moss that opened up the middle of the field quite a bit.

TRUU. Delanie was such a beast in the run game with those wham blocks. Plus, when he finally gets looks, he can put up 60+ receptions and 6+ TD's. I dunno he was my favorite Niner because he did EVERYTHING with little recognition.
 
definitely understand that it's a business move.. just hope we can resign him. I'm sure there are plenty of rb deficient teams that are willing to pick him up and wait for him to heal

Not really a surprise but I saw 10x more Seahawks jerseys being worn here in Chicago then in years past. So yes, I saw 10 jerseys.
