I tried to tell my boys this when they read Harbaugh's comments yesterday. They weren't having it. It actually worked out for all parties that he went to Atlanta and we drafted Aldon Smith. Julio Jones probably doesn't become who he is if he went to SF. The only thing I can think of is that Kaepernick still would have been drafted in the 2nd round. I'm not too sure Culliver would have been taken in the 3rd if the clear direction of the draft was offense oriented. Then again, if we got Julio we for sure would not have wasted a 1st on AJ Jenkins.

Colin Kaepernick meeting with the media soon. We'll have a live stream of his press conference here

Curious about this one, I don't think we have heard from him since.. I can't even remember

For those interested: 49ers.com/live

Edit--

@MaioccoCSN
Colin Kaepernick’s media interaction will be streaming live at 1:30PM. My guess is it’ll happen quite a bit later.

I've never seen Kap so friendly with the media  . Long responses and smiles the entire time.

Dude actually said he'd stay and answer more questions after his initiial time was up

what did he say? something about not going out there and executing on those two interceptions? he's not big on 7-on-7 mechanics?

Kaep is going to be giving PC answers from now until the end of the season.

I think it's safe to think he isn't happy being a 49er.

Kaep done changed. Atleast he trimmed down that bin laden beard. Seemed like he tryna get liked. Hopefully he 100% meant what he said and didnt nust say it to say it.

Anybody got a link to kaeps press conference? :nerd:

Anyone in the same boat as me and want kaep to succeed and hope that he wins the starting job? Kaeps potential and talent can take us places. I don't feel gabberts game management style will take us far...

Gabbert is a game manager

Kaep is a game changer
yes, but he can also change the game in the worst way.

We'll see what happens. The anticipation for the next season is reinvigorating. Even I can fall victim to the excitement of the notion of Kap "regaining" his form, but the objective and sensible football fan inside keeps me grounded. remember, doing the same thing over again and expecting different results is called insanity.

I want to see our defense flourish this upcoming season. Kap having a redemption year will just be a bonus

Yeah I was looking at those Kaep training camp vids and all I saw was that awkward throwing mechanic. At this point in his career I guess it's safe to say that he isn't going to change his form nor will he ever be that crisp passer that we'd like him to be. Here's to hoping Chip can capitalize on Kaep's strengths to have him effective and least make Cisco somewhat competitive this upcoming season.

I'm right there with ya. I wanna see the guy that beat the Packers twice in the Playoffs, went toe to toe with Brady in New England etc...IMO he was doing what Cam Newton just did a few years before.

I also wanna see this young defense just beast and prove all the doubters wrong. If P Willy was still with us cats would be scared :frown:

david shaw was at mini camp last week. i love that chip is constantly engaged with the brightest football minds like bill belichick, urban meyer, etc. i feel really good about where we're heading with chip. i would have preferred vrabel to o'neil, but let's see how that plays out.

Dope to see chip and shaw on the same sideline. Weren't these two just battling it out in the pac12 a few years ago?

Could see Shaw transitioning to the NFL. i know some folx say why leave the program but who knows how long stanford is gonna be a factor and if it goes, then I'd assume so does his chance of being a HC in the league
