OFFICIAL JUICING THREAD (NOT THAT TYPE OF JUICING)

Officially surpassed the 15 day mark. Today is day 16. Still losing one pound a day. I took time off for March Madness, so I have four days of all the time in the world to juice and relax. Should be a great segue into the third week.

What I find funny is how people react when they ask if I'm still juicing (in fact, to them they say: "are you still not eating.") or when I tell them what I've been doing for the past two weeks. "You should eat." "That's not healthy." Or all other various forms of their input that comes from conventional thought. It gives me an added source of motivation to show people that how we think of food is messed up and how we go about nutrition has been severly warped over the years. And I'll show them by losing the weight, experiencing the best health of my life and letting them see just how good I look and how vibrant my personality is, given I haven't eaten. Another thing that will go along with this is making sure to incorporate working out and eating healthy when I'm done. I think a lot of people, because of their own ego's, want to see me fail by gaining everything back when I'm done. It's not happening. Those are my thoughts today.

if you NOT tryna juice...

6am - do not eat... go for a jog... 1/2 mile on a empty stomach
(when you sleep, you burn EASY fat... when you wake up hungry and run, your body is gonna burn the harder fat to use for engery... itll come from your stoamch, thighs and back of neck)

9a - 3/4 egg whites w/ turkey and low sodium swiss OR oatmeal w/ bananas.....water and a multi vitamin
(this is gonna be your HIGHEST calorie intake for the day... enjoy it!)

12p - baked chicken no seasoning... and steamed veggies... OR salad with vinegar / olive oil as dressing...water

3p - carrots, cut up fruits, energy bar, yogurt... something super lite but fun...water
(your body is getting bored, not hungry... stay strong)

find yo' behind to a gym sometime in between this time...! 30min - 45min on a treadmill on incline while fast pace walking... you dont have to run.... 30min - 45min on staionary bike (thats how you will lose the fat on your side of your belly!!!!!!! 45-1 hour of high reps with light weights... every part EVERY day... no chest day, leg day foolishness... full circuit all the time... you can do it...

6p - after workout snack... i HONESTLY would eat 4 pc. mcnuggets... #DontJudgeMe... but tuna fish, muscle milk, mixed nuts, liquids with ELECTROLYTES and ALKILINE is what you need!!!!!!!!!!
(your drained from your workout if you did it right.. you need good fat back in your body, and you need to re hydrate fast and smart and what your body is craving.)

thats it... no more food kid... if your hungry grab water... grab a banana, grab your girl and chow on that... stay strong and be in bed by 9pm...

theres more but its a lot to type and im drinking as we speak...

you'll lose a pound a day BUT BUT BUT you'll get toned .....!!!!!!!!!!

you will not get toned with juicing... you wont be weak but you will not get toned...

11 days in and still going. So far it has been pretty easy. After 4 days I switched from a blender to a juicer.

Yesterday was my only day I was ready to call it quits. Woke up with a stomach virus :smh: (mini me got it in school and it ran through the house). Stomach pains, headache, vomiting and the runs. Felt like my stomach was completely empty all day.

yeah, I'm scared of that.

a coworker tried the JUICING DIET twice, both times he took a week off due to a stomach virus.
I'm thinking it weakens your immune system something crazy.

I just spent $60 on fruit vegetables. at the farmer market. Bought a lot of fish and beans and almond milk..so juicing during the day. fish or chicken with rice or beans for dinner.. also drink green tea

doing this for 10 days then I will juice during day but mix up my meals more

I got a nutribullet . I recommend it.. it comes with recipe booklets and a look which explains juicing..$20 a month from their website.

Also will be doing beachbody T25

also these pills from walmart works very good! no hunger feels with these

how?

did he wash the veggies and fruits first?

drinking farmers piss and wax with a little fecal matter will send a brother praying to the porcelain god in no time :x

you will not get toned with juicing... you wont be weak but you will not get toned...

now if your juicing the process is easier but harder to trick your mind into doing... weve been trained to think we need hard food to survive and meat to gain muscles and fat burners to loos weight...

peep this..

this is for 90% juicing diet...chewing calms you down and releases hormones to relax you so you can eat but smart things.. no meat products tho, b...

6A - (juicing) orange, carrot, ginger, cucumber, agavae or honey and a multi vitamin
or
(blender or Nurti Bullet) oatmeal, cashews, agave or 100% natural honey or 100% pure suagr cane juice, almond milk, chia seeds spinach adn a multi vitamin

your gonna be running off the sugar from this and that's the most sugar your gonna get today so enjoy!...

9a - mixture of your favorite veggies... light on the fruits!! kale kale kale either salad or blend it up and water...make enough for about half a gallon...add veggies with high water weight...celery, cucmber, apples, bok coy... now chug 1/3rd of it...

12P - drink the other 1/3rd of the juice

3p - pop a pill....

no really, pop a pill.. B12 pill to be exact... you need energy especailly if your working out...

speaking of that... when you wake up brisk WALK and MEDITATE

in the afternoon, brisker WALK, YOGA, BREATHING SLOW AND CONTROLLED, but make sure you exhale..

fat cells get burned into air CO(2) when you workout... the more your breathe while working out or meditating you easier it will leave the body.... it science mumbo jumbo but its real..

you dont wanna burn out so these exercises are better for you than running, weights...

and they're better for your core and flexibility and respiratory system...things you need for longevity in sex.. basically.

6p - eat a banana, apple or something light...salad or so... and finish the last 1/3rd of the juice... dont make juice and have it sit for more than 12 hours... oxygen destroys alot of nutrients in the juice...

thats why people store it in glass containers and jars...

8p /9p - sleepy time...sacrifice and knock out early... let your body eat away the fat while you sleep... itll burn faster when your in a resting state.

wake up, repeat, enjoy...

theres more but i cant type all of that stuff...

you get the idea tho

Day 19. Down 24 lbs. Feeling good and looking good, but I have to call an intermission today. Unfortunately, I left a piece to my juicer at my Mom's from over the last few days and can't get my juicer at work until tomorrow. A little upset, because I was sure to go the distance, but I also have been feeling increasingly hungry over the days, so this might be good for me. The weight isn't coming back and I'm starting back at the gym tomorrow, so things are good. I still feel bad and a bit disappointed, but I've accomplished a lot. Most of all, is that I know I can do this. I will be doing an extended fast every year and will incorporate not only juicing within my eating plans, but also short fasts of some kind, throughout the year.

Now, since I didn't plan for this, I need to come up something to eat, which makes me nervous.

Keep it simple with eating. You just gave your digestive system a huge break. Eat fruit & veggies/Salads. Veggie soup or other kind of light soup, small protein shakes. Easily digesting foods really is the way to go for the first 3-4 days or maybe even a week.

No candy, cookies, ice cream, fried food and etc..Im sure you already know this but still. Don't do it.

 the virus I caught had nothing to do with juicing. Son got it in school so you know how that goes.

Usually have bread and some type of soup but since I was juicing just said f it and dealt with it. Lol not a good feeling

Juicer just arrived.
I wasted little time before I broke it out.

I still have to go shopping so my fruit and veggie selection is pretty slim at the moment. I had some granny smith apples and strawberries so I figured id try those first. Simple mixture. 2 aples and like 8 strawberries, little bit of ice. Came out great. :smokin

So all this extra pulp left in the machine I just scrap?

any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got sick while juicing too but mine was a hard cold. Just drank chicken broth and was told by BEN that I cheated. I didnt eat anything and only drank my drinks.

The good thing is that I was done with the virus in like 12 hours. Felt nasty at 2pm at work and felt wayyyy better when I woke up at 6am the next day.

Im a firm believer the juice help me get over it very quickly.

Stomach from juicing? Nahhh.

How big was she or he? If the person was real big to begin with then maybe. But an average person just 50 or so pounds overweight wouldnt get sick that bad.

Juicing helps you clean and clear your system and start new. Now if the person was juicing and still eating the greasy stuff then maybe that might of been the cause.

Congrats bro. 19 days and 24 pounds is still great. I hope you dont feel like you failed.

Do you have a juice place around your area? We have a Robeks (way better than Jamba Juice because Jamaba Juice is only smoothies) and when I wasnt able to make a Juice, I bought it from them. Expensive (about $5 and some change for a 15 oz drink) but still manage to stay on track.

As far as eating, start slow. I suggest no kind of meat at all. No dairy either. Stick to fruit and salad and make sure you chew a lot. Dont forget to drink a lot of water. You can also try adding walnuts to your salads and cranberries.

As far as dressing, I suggest you make your own. Get a recipe off line, make it once and then adjust to your liking. Better than Bottled dressing you buy at the store.

You need to eat something that's still relatively close to liquids, so some type of soup with little pieces of solids inside. Anything else may have you on the toilet in a hurry.
Yeah, keep it very simple with no MEATS. You can get protein elsewhere.

I need help choosing a couple of things.

What would you guys recommend for the following,

BREAD
FLAT BREAD
PITA
PEANUT BUTTER

Few things:

1. How do you guys feel about using frozen fruit from the store, as opposed to fresh from the market? I have both right now.

2. For those who juice for all 3 meals, how are you keeping it fresh while out and about? I go from class straight to work. Should I just blend it while at home, keep it in my blender bottle, and throw it in the fridge at work? Only thing I can think of.

This morning's juice:

Kiwi

Pinapple

Mango

Green Apple

Cucumber

Water

Ginger

1. I have never used frozen fruits before. I dont know how well theyll do in a juicer but Im sure theyll be ok in a blender.

2. When I juiced 3 times a day, I kept my juices in MASON jars and in the fridge. My wife made my breakfast and lunch drinks in the AM and I took them to work and had them in the fridge. Dinner drinks were made when we got home.

I dont think juices will taste well if you blend them in the AM, dont put them in the fridge, leave them outside in room temp (or hotter). Try to keep them cool. Remember, juices last up to 72 hours in the fridge and tightly sealed.

If you have to, try hitting up spots that make the juices for you. JAMBA JUICE IN NOT THAT SPOT. They add juice to your drinks.

I'm not very good at keeping up with this website.

Lurking, patiently waiting to see the official vegan thread pop up, nomsayin

Right now I'm using a combination of both.  I'm getting berries frozen because they cost a grip at Sprouts and they last longer in the freezer.

My Juice this morning.

Apple, Orange, Banana, Kale, Cucumber and Spinach.

10 days in too

Im only 20 pounds over weight. I'm 6-4 about 225 or so. I want to get to about 195-200

I have a Nutribullet

Im going to eat broiled fish and rice at night. Wanted to add that

This might have been asked before, but on faqs on juicing I'm reading that it removes fiber. Isn't fiber needed to help digestion?

Fiber and waste is what you digest...

Remove the fiber from your diet and replace out with juices that help with the natural enzymes in your body to move waste out your body and fiber isn't needed...

Fiber makes you feel full tho... that's one of its benefits too

Btw..

I made two juices yesterday... tryna do something different...

One was one stalk of celery and 4 apples...

The second was 2 bunches kale and a bunch of beets (with stems intact)

Wanna really go hard with this blood purification thing and also really fine tune my taste buds...

Tomorrow Imma do a huge piece of ginger cucumber and grapefruit...
