correct. you pay the VAT with them and you shouldn't be hit with customs as long as the parcel amount is less than $250 unless the amount went down.

Please correct if wrong. I've always ordered from UI and WG and never got hit with a customs fee and it came out to just over $200 each time

nope....customs and it's fees are completely unrelated to the price you pay initially.
