Hey guys we are starting IVF! Trying to join the NT Dads club

Thanks guys!

No make family donor as I don't have any brothers and that's probably the only way is consider it and that's if I'm all the way sterile...which I'm not.

She's cool with me posting on here, she wants people to read our story specially if there is other couples who might need some guidance....I wouldn't had known about the grant had I not asked around...I feel that's info that should be readily available...

good luck bro.

question though, after they implant the sperm in the egg and put the fertilized egg back into the wifey, if it doesnt develop accordingly, is that $5K down the drain?

Or is the $5K paid for ultimate success to see it through to the finish?

Good Luck bro. I know everything's gonna work out for the best. Your kid doesn't know how awesome of a father he/she will have

That's 5k down the drain bro, I know of people who couldn't get pregnant until the 4th try, each time paying 25k....that's 100k to have a baby....usually this happens often when the woman is the one with the issue

Good luck, I have a family member who went through this process. It wasn't easy. Was a long road. But seeing her so happy with her child today makes me think the journey was beyond worth it. I wish you two the best.

And if you're little soldiers aren't marching, be happy to know that I can gladly step in like a super sub in the 90th minute of the Champions League final to bring home the trophy lol.

 but on the real...

I was going to actually mention the amount of meds that will be consumed during this period.

I'm sure I don't even need to tell you, but be there, and be strong for your wife, the whole process is very draining on a woman.

Wish both of you all the best.

The hormones and all the injections, the extraction and transfer just to then be pregnant for 9 months....dude I'm saving from this second for her push present...lmaoo

Thanks for all the kind words fellas, drop some comments on the blog if you get a chance to read, I'm sure she'll appreciate it!

Thank you NT :pimp:

Ksteezy even tho you mop the floor after the shooting at the club, i wish nothing but luck to you and yours bro.

Best of luck on this journey. my kids' godmother just went through this and it's hard but so far she's doing well and carrying twins due early May.

Good luck. I have a co worker who is in the same situation and the last hope was ivf until she actually got pregnant. They are at 5 weeks now and they still have their fingers crossed. As for me My gf is due in the beginning of May, So I'm ecstatic. Good luck once again.

Good luck Steez, I hope you have a little girl

Since you said the problem isn't producing sperm but getting them to reach the egg, y'all are using your sperm correct? The doctor is just going to connect the two together for you? I'm assuming if you guys were using someone else's sperm that would of probably cost extra $$.

What was the criteria for the grant or is it just random?

Good luck man, wish you and your wife well on this journey.

Thanks you bro

Yeah it's gonna be tough, but we have many people rooting for us and keeping our spirits high and we have each other, thanks man.

I don't know if it's more money, just a whole different procedure, yes...they extract the egg, I give them my sample (will check Fine girls thread that day) they chose only the good sperm and inject it directly into the egg.
Criteria was making less than 200k household and no partial insurance coverage for anything IVF related

Good luck dude.

Tough seeing parents struggle to have kids when their parents out there who don't want anything to do with theirs.

I think about this all the time myself

Good luck steezy. My ex and I are fans of your photography and we still talk about it to this day.

I'm 28 and I hope to have kids and a family one day so I always want to send good vibes to anybody that is looking to have kids. My cousin and her husband went through the process a couple of times and have yet to have a kid, but I'm praying for them and you because people like you deserve it.

Stay strong my dude.

My husband and I went through the exact same thing - I'm 5months pregnant now...so it does work!!

(the progesterone shots are killer!!! heads up to wifey)  Its all worth it in the end. Do you plan on just having one kid through IVF? I ask because they save the eggs they fertilize and you can go back to have more children in the future.

I want to do that but they charge you to store the eggs.. its like $1000 each year for us plus you have to take medication all over again!!

PM me if you have any questions/need advice.

Good Luck! I'll be reading the blog.
