Nike is completely saturating the market. Everything is "Limited", has a nickname and there's a number of new releases every weekend.

Sneakers have truly become the beanie babies of this generation. :x :smh:

Mag hype will surpass RO hype easily.
if they release them the same way as last time then there will be very little hype. Either you have deep pockets or you dont.

The story behind the ROs is the reason why they are so hyped.

There is no camping, raffles, rsvps and no online release. so again, Either you have deep pockets or you dont.

auto lace lock, led lighting = GAME OVER

They need to make the lights and battery replaceable tho. That's the main reason I never jumped on Mags from 2011. Seen a lot of mad people who's lights went out and Nike wouldn't do anything for em.

Everyone is assuming and reporting that they'll drop them next year, but Tinker never said that. He's always maintained they'd introduce power lacing in 2015 (he first said that back in 2011, don't know why it's just now making headlines), but won't re-release the Mags out of respect for those who paid G's for them in 2011 for a good cause.

That being said, I have a feeling they'll drop them anyways, cuz Nike can't resist the hype that will come from that. Tinker thinks it will be disrespectful to the buyers of 2011's, but on the contrary, I think if you asked all those buyers if they want another pair with replaceable lights and batteries, AND power lacing, they'd all say they do.

I hope Nike and Tinker realize that (end of the day, while he is respected in the company, Tinker is just a designer there, AFAIK, so if Nike wants to release them anyways, they will... And c'mon, there's no way they're gonna resist the hype, madness, money, and national new headlines they could get from releasing the actual shoe that originally had power lacing, instead of just introducing it on some other shoe)...

Need some opinions from you guys.

I have a choice between selling to a local guy for $3700 or shipping to Flight Club and possibly getting $4800 (after 20% commission).

What would you all do?

Earlier in the thread someone said a size 14 sold on FC in about 30 minutes after it was listed and there currently aren't any listed on there.  I'm just not sure if I'll have the same luck.

FC is a no brainer. A size 14 will go to a big dude who is likely a pro athlete. It definitely moved from the site in less than an hour at 5.75k yesterday. Bottom line is if you're the only/first in your size, and it's a harder to find size, you're going to have good luck. Let's say one person does come in lower than 6k... You still have all the way down to 4.6k to price it and get your same 3.7k you're looking at privately. They will go.

This is what I was thinking.  I have a good bit of wiggle room when it comes to the price.  Plus I feel like FC is the safer bet rather than meeting up with a guy I've never met before.

the canceled pairs were allocated to celebs, which means it's almost certain there will be no restock.

I didn't say there couldn't be a restock. I do not know that.
I'm just saying that if anyone believes that the cancelled pairs from the Sunday 2/9 Release will constitute in there being a restock or the restock would consist of those pairs, that is 100% wrong as those pairs all have destinations.

PO

yeah, i know, homie... that's why i said "ALMOST certain"... haha...

every hope expressed for a restock has been about those canceled pairs...

now that they're gone, and considering the fact no yeezy has ever had a restock on NDC, that tells me it's almost certain not to happen.

time will tell, tho...

That will almost certainly not help in bringing down resale prices.

you never know. if all the celebs who would have been buying the pairs for $5- $6,000 are suddenly getting pairs for free, there is a whole lot less consumers who would be willing to pay that price, therefore driving prices down
