1000 1000 - id love for you to explain to me how i play both side of the fence as i am consistent with how i moderate the site. i do give this thread MUCH leeway as i try and understand the popularity of the shoes as well as keep the thread open for the members to "lounge" but certain posts almost force me to speak out. Posts like PM SENT!!!! scream for me to take action. Even the members that did it acknowledged their intentions so what's the beef there?

now who moderates me? the community moderates me. i don't break any rules and id love for you to show me when i do since you know me so well. its obvious that the site is short handed when it comes to moderation so stuff definitely slips through the cracks.

i don't sell outside of the classified section and if you followed my posts, i was actually torn with what i wanted to do with the shoes. it was real that i was going to drive to NY to drop my shoes off. there is nothing wrong with that nor saying that.

I brought it up for debate.

Please give provide the steps I must take to do this so I can ban you as it was in clear violation... While you were humble bragging a few weeks back, some of your posts could be viewed as loaded... just like you viewed allstardope allstardope 's post prior to realizing you were biting your tongue and providing him with a pass... I never said you were blatantly selling in here... All I'm saying is that if you look at your posts, in this thread alone, not all of them are within the boundaries of the rules and regulations you are supposed to uphold.... Prime example is the link you posted... I don't need yo bring up anything else.

Rules should be cut and dry, if you handled your moderation like that then you wouldn't need be talking about "leeway", people either follow the rules or they don't...

You cant be a good mod by feeling lenient one day and another way allow the rules to get run over... Consistency is the key...

You're "education" should have had you read the rules of the site. There is nothing wrong with posting a link to a website selling shoes as long as its not a live ebay listing. But you know that tho.

Why did i post the link? Because it was one of the cheaper prices i have seen posted online where the buyer could get a guaranteed authentic pair. People have complained for days now that they couldn't find a pair for less than 4K from a reseller AND guarantee they weren't going to get scammed. Obviously, i made someone happy because the shoes were gone within MINUTES of me posting the link.

The fact that a mod will not even acknowledge posts that certainly point out highly questionable posts, relative to NT rules and regulations, is something very telling...

You play both sides of the fence... Many people exhibit the same duplicity within their posts.... the difference being that you are a mod.

The sole purpose of your existence (relative to this forum and holder of a Mod account) is to make sure all members adhere to a specific set of rules and regulations. The Mod badge does not give you immunity. You can't be a VERY active member within a thread, display duplicity in your posts, then turn around and expect regular members to act within the guidelines that you cant adhere to as a MOD.... It really is a joke. It makes no type of logical sense.

You can't even feel offended or any type of way at the "tyrant" comment... It is more on point than it is off base.

If you are here to Moderate... Who is here to Moderate you? Because clearly you need it as much as any other member.

Now obviously I am looking at this whole situation from a specific perspective... one in which all NT community members have to adhere to a specific set of rules... an issue that should be cut and dry... for EVERYONE, regardless of "Badge"

Theres a difference between debating whether or not to sell and blatantly buying and selling within the thread.


BigJ is probably the fairest and most lenient admin on this board. If you don't like the way he runs his ship... leave.
 
i may have to get serious about selling my pair.  i have them listed on ebay for 9000 and get hate messages all the time about it
