Betances & Robertson is the # 1 reason why I think we'll win a World Series within the next few years. Playoff games are almost always coming down to 1 at-bat. Both guys can strike out anyone.

Tanaka is 1 or 2.

Phelps, Nova or Pineda could be a #5.

Fill in between there.


If you were to go with CC as your 4. And go after a Lester or Scherzer, then a middle of the rotation guy. Boom. you got what you need.

Man, season is over. That **** was brutal. Offense is done. Pineda looked good. Schoop is a bad player but has 4HRs against us.

Why was Drew called out on that throwing error to 1B?
 
Pineda looked awesome though, not to exaggerate. If we could only hit and stay afloat for this pitching we might still have a chance but I think it might be too late .... hurts like hell to write that but it is what it is ..

There are some positives , I like Chase man . He just caused a real scenario for next year at 3b ...

Not with A-Rod back, he'll play maybe 90 games. Or they won't even bother to try to keep him and we get to have Prado play :smh:


They have to cut ties with the old Yankees as much as they can if they want to win a title, and do so ASAP.



Only way it works is if A-Rod's the primary DH, and Beltran has to field next season. It's not optimal, but to lose Headley for 2015 A-Rod is just HORRIBLE management

Headley gets 120 games at 3B, 10 at 1B, and some spot days in Left.
A-Rod gets 42 games at 3B, 80-90 games at DH
Beltran 75 games in RF, 55-60 at DH.
Prado plays the rest of the games in RF.
Rest of the DH days are for Teix & McCann. Somewhere between 20-30. Luckily Teix only need about 1 a month. So we can save them for McCann, and get Cervelli in who reminds me a lot of Girardi in his heyday here. Way more injury prone, and not clutch, but similar type guys.


But leaves us with nobody at SS & 2B. And still huge gaps in the rotation. If Hal doesn't spend again, they will miss the playoffs next year.
