I'll only guess pitch if I see a guy throwing a lot of splitters for instance. But then again, I'm really just sitting on that one pitch and adjusting if it's not there.

A patch was released on Thursday for the show.

Here are the details:
Patch 1.02 for MLB 15 The Show on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 went live Thursday morning PDT.

The patch includes fixes to Online Gameplay, Franchise and Online Franchise, Card collections, Community Market, AI tuning and tons of General fixes.

For a detailed list, please check out the change notes below.

Game Update 1.02 Fix List
  • Online Gameplay – Game would occasionally hang following an Intentional Walk, a regular Base on Balls, a Hit by Pitch, or a Balk.
  • General – Batters would strikeout on the second strike when the performed certain check swings at pitches in the dirt.
  • Franchise mode – Edit Player screen was limiting users from editing generated players, and players on certain teams.
  • General – Specific “wall s****ing” home runs would result in a baserunner staying on 1st base, and not score correctly.
  • Online Franchise - Injuries were not occurring during Online Franchise games.
  • Online Gameplay – Guessing Pitches had a delay and users would occasionally fail to guess Location and Pitch Type when offering input quickly.
  • Online – Within Game Rooms, users were missing their rank logos that distinguished them as Rookie, Veteran, All-Star, Hall of Fame, or Legend rank.
  • Online – Play Now Rated and Diamond Dynasty – Home and Away team assignment was not random, resulting in some users always being the home team, or always the away team.
  • Online – Play Now Online rated – Controlling the KC Royals, user would be given control of the ace pitcher (Ventura) no matter who was chosen to be the starting pitcher in the Pitcher Select screen.
  • Card Collections – Redeem Legend button was missing after completing a collection.
  • General - CPU runners were not using correct lead off logic.
  • General – Specific edited rosters would cause the game to crash when loading into a Road To The Show Showcase game.
  • General – Andrew McCutchen’s hair has been adjusted – We gave him a haircut to match his current appearance.
  • General – Wrigley Field had some collision/Home Run detection issues. Certain foul balls were being counted as Home Runs down the 1st base line.
  • General – Sounds of the Show issues have been resolved. Custom music was not being saved correctly where users intended them to.
  • General – Public Announcer audio was frequently incorrect (announcing the wrong name) during the end of game wrap up and also when bringing relief pitchers into the game.
  • General – Highlight Reel was added back into post game menus, by popular demand!
  • General – Tweaking and refining of in game sound effects.
  • General – Front End User Interface tweaking. Team colors on User’s Player Card.
  • General – Tuning to trade logic, specifically how the CPU traded with other CPU teams in Franchise and Season modes.
  • General – Baserunning/Lead Runner windows were missing from Manager Mode.
  • General - Players will now wear sleeves when the game is played at lower temperatures.
  • General – Fixed many occurrences of consumer reported crashes, reported to us through the PS4 operating system crash reporting tool. Areas that encountered these rare crashes included: Exiting Amateur Draft in Franchise mode / Entering Diamond Dynasty / During initial boot-up / Using the Suggested Trade feature in Franchise mode / Specific in game scenarios.
  • Community Market – Changing pages in the marketplace completed order now works.
  • Gameplay – Animation clean up and tuning.
  • Gameplay – Adjustments to tagging sliding baserunners.
  • AI tuning – Bunt success rate was incorrect/too successful and accurate.
  • Year to Year Saves modifications – Properly handling a small batch of players who were not in the league in MLB 14, and how they transfer over to MLB 15.
  • General - Home run error not counting runs with runners on base
Thanks for playing The Show!

The Show Live in MLB 15 The Show allows users to compete in an exhibition-style game seeded with real-life data from MLB.com. Team match-ups, pitching rotations, and lineups are all in sync with the league's current landscape.

The Show team took it a step further including, or excluding in this case, the fans from the Chicago White Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles game.

If you play MLB 15 The Show Live today and play yesterday's White Sox vs. Orioles match-up, you will notice no fans at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The Orioles announced Tuesday that they would not permit fans into the park, after the violence on Monday, following the funeral for Freddie Gray.

This game is awesome. Been out the game for a while and havent owned a basebqll game in 5-6 years at least. But the RTTS mode in this game got me really sucked in. Jus finished my 2nd season with my guy on road to the show, am the St Louis Cardinals 1st Baseman, batted 400., hit 35 hrs, with 127 rbi's, won the nl mvp, silver slugger and Hank Aaron award, and bout to start the playoffs. We got elimanated last season in first round of the playoffs. On the guess pitch topic tho, I persoally use guess pitch all the time. Def not a cheese or whatever. That's just realistic. If ur sitting on a certain pitch and u guess it right and the location it should boost your swing. Its really best to just guess the location or the pitch type instead of both at the same time, but it makes it alot easier if u played baseball and u know what pitchers are likely coming with. Plus if u guess wrong its penalizes u, so it evens it out. So maybe "guess pitch" is for some of us and not for others. It's def no cheese in my humble opinion. Hard as hell to guess it in the big leagues anyway. Jus sit on the fastballs. Try to go to opposite field As much as often. Don't swing at junk unless u got 2 strikes. Take the first pitch. Fastball up in the zone if u guess the pitch type and location are doubles and home runs nearly everytime.

Rtts has officially taken over my life. I jus got traded for Giancarlo Stanton and now I go from being on the first place cardinals to the last place marlins :smh: still pretty cool it took Stanton to get me straight up in a trade. Right after the all star game They traded me.

I have 61 homeruns with 20 games left. I'm about to break the single season hits, rbi, and homerun records this season.

How is this game? Almost got it at GS the other day but passed.

Not huge on baseball but I've played baseball games before. Need something to play while I wait for the new Madden/2k

Addicting. Especially the "Road To The Show" mode where u get to create your own player an gets started down in the minors and u gotta work yourself up to the pros. Able to customize everything possible about your player including batting stances which u can hit with a Ken Griffen Jr batting stance for instance. Or Ted Williams. Or whoever works best for u. Really sucks u in and for the people who used to play baseball the nostalgia really goes a long way from the sounds of the crack of the bat hitting the ball to the whizz of the baseball coming out the pitchers hand. I never thought I would play a sports game better than nba2k15 but this Mlb RTTS 15 definately at least rivals it. I'd def recommend it. If your not familiar with baseball games, hitting can be extrmemly hard and frustrating(just like in real life) so if u do purchase make sure u start off setting the hitting level on beginner.

I was a little surprised I didn't get some kind of award for hitting 400. And i did it in dramatic fashion. Last at bat in the last game of the regular season I was batting 399. and I hit a home run in my last at bat to put me at 400. on the dot.

Anybody got any advice on good batting stances to use? I hear a lot of people using Bruce Harper's stance along with Troy Tulowitzki. Jus curious if anybody has had success with any others. I personally use some dude named Randall Grichuk. I dunno who he is but I'm tearing it up with his batting stance. Still feel as tho i could do better as I am late on alot of pitches I shouldn't be and it may be the stance.

Diamond Dynasty >>>>> RTTS

Feel like i've been playing the same RTTS for 5 years
If road to the show was like NBA 2k my player it would be dope. You should be able to get endorsements.

I enjoy DD as well. Waaay better than last year's version. It isn't as addicting as MUT but still pretty fun. I like how you can have a dope team without really putting money into the mode. Also when you get a Gold or better reward it's :pimp:

How do you get a dope team without paying?

After any game you play you earn stubs (the currency to buy players or packs) and are rewarded with a card or two to use on your team or to sell. Sometimes you get a decent silver or a gold. I was rewarded a Pedroia and a David Ortiz which are used in the set for a 99 Ted Williams, who is one of the most expensive players in the game. On my team and I've only put like $5 into this mode :pimp:

Also with roster updates the players can get upgraded. For example I had a Bryce Harper who was like an 81 overall silver card. I sold him for 900 stubs, but now his card is a 94 overall diamond and is worth 26k :smh: . So besides just playing the game, you can invest in cards that you think will be better and more valuable later on

How the hell are u guys getting rewarded with these gold and diamond cards ? I'm at level 19 and played almost 40 games in diamond dynasty and have only gotten like one silver
