Hi guys. I'm looking at grabbing some XIs to play in. I'm a pro baller from Australia and play at the guard spot. Just wondering what peoples experiences are on the court.

With the retros, you'd honestly be better off going for a new model from Nike, Jordan, or adidas. If you insist on playing in them though, they're not bad, but they're nothing like they used to be.

pros:
good midsole cushioning
sturdy fit (once broken in)
nice lockdown

cons:
newer cushioning systems are far superior
patent leather takes some time to wear in
retro sizing is hit and miss, so you must be able to try them on before you buy.

mate, your feet won't explode, but you can get so much better these days.

they will be comfortable and very durable, but, maybe too heavy.  now a days i see ballers (esp guards) wear lighter kicks - even opting for little to no ankle support

lol, i'm an accountant.  just my 2cents from what i've experienced when i was younger. but i would say even in the nba now a days, you see a lot of guards go lighter shoes ie: kobes and durants  (kobe may not be the best example). starting to see a lot less emphasis on the ankle support in bball shoes

11s aren't bad to play in. Go with 14s or 12s IMO though. Better all around performers and better looks IMO.
