You are a way better man/father/parent than I could ever be.Yeah, I typed that. I grew up in an environment where I was encouraged to have unique interests, and I pursued them basically until I got bored and moved on to something else. Even though I only ended up sticking with a few things that became passions, each new experience gave me valuable perspective. I used these experiences to gain perspectives from all corners of life and built my own moral code upon them. Even now, I'm unafraid to pursue things I'm genuinely interested in, although I personally choose to keep them within the appropriate professional scope of acceptability. I think having grown up that way has made me who I am, and as a senior in college with a Wall Street investment banking job, I rather like who I am. So I would wholeheartedly afford my daughter the same leeway that I grew up with. I'm not saying I hope she becomes a pornstar, because like I said before, I wouldn't be happy about that. However, if she really did find in her heart that pursuing such a lifestyle is her true passion, then I'm going to support that, because I trust that I raised her to critically think and if she came to that conclusion then I'm sure she had a great reason for doing so. If it's too much for you to understand, you don't have to, just do you.
