50 Cent Confronts Steve Stoute At NY Knicks Game

Serious question ...

What do some of you guys consider relevant?

I personally think that 2Pac and Biggie are still relevant and they have long passed away. For those that are going to argue with this - just ask yourself - how many times have you heard but they aren't Pac of Biggie?

I associate relevance with direct influence and I believe 50 cents has influence millions around the globe.

Yes he has movies, yes he had a brand, yes hi had games after him, yes he made a few millions of investments - But please be reminded that he was built rapping.

1. You can twist what 50 did to make him look foolish, doesn't matter to me. What I'm saying is, he has never had an issue with voicing his opinion or confronting somebody. You don't see this in rap music anymore.

2. These are all the NL albums released in 99. No way in hell did they sell 25 mil that year. This is when their albums sales started to decline. I bought about half of these too  I even remember which albums went platinum. MP, Silkk (was close to 2x) and Snoop. Gold albums were C, Foolish, TRU. Half of this list didn't even reach 250K so where did you get 25 mil that year?

1999
Silkk the Shocker - Made Man
Mr. Serv-On - Da Next Level
C-Murder - Bossalinie
Various Artists - Foolish
Mo B. **** - Gangsta Harmony
Lil Soldiers - Boot Camp
Snoop Dogg - No Limit Top Dogg
Various Artists - Who U Wit?
TRU - Da Crime Family
Mercedes - Rear End
Fiend - Street Life
Lil Italy - On Top of da World
Magic - Thuggin'
Mac - World War III
Master P - Only God Can Judge Me

Nobody said 50 looked foolish. He did what he was supposed to do. Someone talked about him and he went and told him how he felt about it. You are the one who looked foolish acting like that was some great feat deserving of lifetime respect. As if there was ever any worry about beef or confrontation with Steve Stout.

22 million units was a quote from an article. Silk was triple platinum in 4 months. Mr. Serv on was multi-platinum believe it or not, C murder went platinum, Mystikal released the last week of 1998 and sold 1.4 million. If they were counting previously released records sold in 1999 then it's easily over 20 million I would imagine. Either way, they did well over 20 million in '98 as well.

2Pac and Biggie are more relevant CAUSE they passed. They are both no doubt legends but their career could have been way different if they were still living. Who knows what people would have though of them if they were still living. I truly believe at this point that 2Pac would have been known for his acting by now if he were still alive. I think he would have definitely gone the Ice Cube route.

But 50 maybe not relevant to todays music but that is cause music and pop culture is so different than it used to be. He won't be known as the top MC but he'll no doubt be somewhere in the history books.

Even 50 enemies will say he is a legit dude

Question his recent music all you want but it's known he's a real street dude

Mazaradi Fox was a real street dude also. You stay in the streets long enough, eventually you'll get done in by other real street dudes.

50 has too much to lose and he's too old to be acting the way he does.

Gotta love 50.

LOL.....no. Dude is rich and lives in a mansion, he is NOT.
LOL - about the dumbest **** I have ever read.

I guess you consider Officer Ricky a real street dude.

Dude fabricated a assassination attempt to generate a buzz and get street creds and still had to push his album back. That **** release and yet we aint hearing no buzz. Even a devil is a lie not carrying that **** thru.

SMH!

LOL how the hell did you come to this conclusion, cause I don't think 50 a millionaire is really in the streets means I think Rick Ross is a gangsta.

Are you just trying to force a convo about Rick Ross......?

he definitely mean he's cut from the cloth and was really in the streets.

clearly he's not in the streets right now, but that's an incredibly silly point

to make because i don't think anyone feels like 50 is in the streets these days.

Meh every rapper claims to be in the streets, it was a silly reason to respect him IMHO. And aren't there rumors that 50 was a snitch?

:nerd:

Anyone remember the Camron 50 cent diss song. His beef with camron was underrated, ish had me dying.

CURTISS!!!!! He look like a gorilla, with rabbit teeth....hahahahah

1. Yes. It silly to respect someone for simply being a street cat.
2. Idk if you just have something against him or what but it's well documented by his enemies and allies that he was in fact in the streets heavy. Unlike the many others that do false claim.
3. I loved their back and forth. It indeed was classic

13 pgs of what? Senseless arguing or lulz? I don't want to waste my time.

Thread seems simple to me, Curtis aint influential and he aint about **** now and Stoute really shouldn't have been given a platform to talk anyway. Seems the degrading of Hot97 continues.

this dude was smart as hell.

those mixtapes with whoo kid were flames.

he got his buzz to an all time HIGH with those, he set the standard.

now you got people like wayne, rick ross, and whoever else is "hot" at the moment putting out tapes.

LOL @ 50 cent fan base.  Who cares what was good or not good, he made his money.

Never liked 50 always seemed like a cartoon character...however...GRODT is a hip hop classic, like the person or not, gotta respect his craft.

50 was really in the streets before he blew.....people from ja to smurf will state that no matter their past/present beefs

no **** he's not there now......are yall slow?

like god damn

feel like I'm talking to kids who wore velcro sneakers in the 8th grade
