Do you think Michael Jordan could have broken Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring record if he hadn't take

Yes way better as far Jordan always coming thru in the clutch

Magic/Bird/Lebron all have some type of memorable clunker in the NBA Finals, Jordan not even close to a memorable clunker

Jordan's will to win was unmatched

Yall think the effer just got lucky 6 times? :smh:

He was the most special combination of skill, athleticism, work ethic and the will of win we have ever seen

THIS!!!!!!!!!!! The 92-93 Bulls were the weakest of the 1st set of 3Peats.... But with a 25 year old rookie Kukoc, Pip at MVP level, The 3 headed center, Ho Grant and BJ being All-Stars... That team cooks the 93-94 Rockets team in a 7 game series..... Houston was really good.... But the Bulls would have too many weapons. The Dream and who else would have helped..... A 2nd year Horry??? Maxwell??? Casell??? What allowed Houston to win the 1st chip was that they played The Knicks... Which were built similarly to Hou.... An elite center and a great supporting cast.....

The one that I always question is if MJ and the Bulls came back and played the 99 Spurs..... San An would have beat the 99 Bulls.....

Nah bro. Only thing I agree on is the Spurs thing...maybe..but

Who was stopping Hakeem in the post? You saw what he did to HOF/MVP centers throughout the playoff/championship runs.So imagine what he would of done to Luc Longley, Bill Wennington and Will Perdue . Even Horace Grant wouldn't want problems. That would of been his easiest matchups ever . Go ask Shaq, David Robinson & Ewing too who are all HOF's deservingly. Hakeem literally put those teams on his back both chips with an excellent supporting cast. MJ himself knows those Bulls teams wouldn't want any parts too thats why he says what he says about those 2 years and Hakeem.

Go Look at Hakeem's numbers those 2 runs. The man was UNSTOPPABLE those playoff runs. Bulls didn't match up well with the Rockets.

Jordan wouldn't have beat them with or without going and playing baseball.

Who was stopping Jordan?

Nobody

According to those years the Orlando Magic did the one year...So what are you really saying

I wish Houston had got through the Seattle Supersonics in the Western Semi's in 96 but they didn't match up well. Essentially they would have faced the Bulls.

Its alright to stan for Jordan but dudes gotta be real with themselves sometimes man . Like I said, Jordan himself said he didn't want to ever see that Rockets team and is happy they weren't in the Eastern Conference those title years.

The season where Jordan came back from retirement like one month before the NBA Playoffs and was rusty as hell

He still put up insane numbers 32 PPG 7 RPG 5 APG

Yeah, they totally stopped him

They were still just a missed foul call from forcing a game 7

What happened the next season when the Magic faced the Bulls? They got that *** swept

First and foremost the Bulls potentially could've won 8-10 in a row if the front office had any clue what they were doing!! If you weren't around for the era then it's hard to speak on, Jordan undoubtedly would've broken Kareem's scoring record at an average clip on the low side of 24-2500 points per season you take his first retirement and the additional 2 years he should've played and add that rough 9000 points to his 32292 and he's well over Kareem's record in much less time. Jordan was a MONSTER period, you can watch whatever you want on hardwood classics and pick and chose your moments but if you weren't tuned into WGN Chanel 9 every night circa 87-93 then you missed a highlight reel every night! There's never been one before and there will never be one after!

8 to 10? LMAO you guys are buggin!

There is a reason why nobody since bill Russell has won more than 3 in a row.

The number of games played in those years would have gotten to any team.

Back when Bill did it they didn't play nearly as many games nor was the level of competition on par with what Jordan went through.

Jordan hands down is the one of the GOATS....

But no way he gets 8 to 10 in a row....Maybe 4....but nothing more.

I think if Jordan was born a few years later... he would have 17 Championships in a row with 56,000 points. Very SRS!

8 to 10? The playoff wear and tear would be too much. Steve Kerr himself said the Bulls wouldn't have won 4 in a row after 1998 based on fatigue alone.

THE ANSWER is NO.  Because MJ never chased individual ACCOLADES like a SCORING TITLE.  It has been OBSERVED, SPOKEN, REPORTED, RECORDED and DISCUSSED.  The 'let's say' doesn't work and doesn't make sense.  MJ will do what's right to win games.  He'll defer to what works, as opposed to shooting his way out.  THIS has been quoted by PHIL JACKSON himself.  SO, the POSSIBILITY of MJ breaking that record is low.

NOT THAT IT MATTERS.

There's a reason dude retired after both 3 peats.

You guys honestly think if Jordan thought he had a shot to win 4 in a row he would've walked away from the game?

C'mon now.

As for the points, he could've done that easily if he made it a goal.

Sure, those 2 things had something to do w/ it.

But if you're gonna sit there and pretend like exhaustion wasn't part of it, then I'm not sure what to say.

You're assuming things

The documented answers are the ones I said in the previous post

Ok, man

Q: Can you compare the reasons why you retired this time to the reasons why you retired in 1993?

Jordan: Well, it's very similar. Mentally, I am exhausted. I don't feel I have the challenge. Physically, I feel great. The last time in 1993 I had other agendas. I felt that I wanted to play baseball and I felt that at my age it was a good opportunity and time to do it. With the death of my father, I was basically trying to deal with that. This time, I am at peace with a lot of those things. I know from a career standpoint I have accomplished everything that I could as an individual. Right now I don't have the mental challenges that I have had in the past to proceed as a basketball player.

I'm assuming things, tho.

Keep talking out of your ***, kid.

So Phil Jackson, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman leaving had no effect on him wanting to retire?

He was just exhausted

Michael Jeffrey Jordan was tired?

Man if you believe that

Man, shut up.

You were wrong, it's not a big deal.

Sheesh.

Look guys it's impossible for Mike to get tired.

He would have won 10 straight :pimp:

That's what i'm saying.... Jordan was the Achilles of the NBA.

They say, they had to re-model the court every time he stepped on it because humans were not worthy enough to be on the same ground.
