Could we be seeing better quality retro releases in the future?

True, but JB got to realize with the emergence of interest in KD, Kobe's, and LBJ's line he has to find a way of keeping his customers interested. Hype dies down eventually.

I wish! Prices keep on going up and the quality keeps on declining. I would gladly pay the $200 for some retros that don't fold like paper.

I'm still smh at dudes buying any sneaker after 2010. I bought Less than 10 pairs of sneakers produced after 2010.

JB grossed over 2 billion in '13.

None of those guys even hit half of 1 bil. Kobe couldnt even hit 100 million.

JB doesn't have to worry about any of those dudes.

JB is still doing well solely because of the legacy MJ created/ it's the "cool" thing to buy (For people who never seen MJ play). JB has lost all it's innovation in my eyes. What was the last new released flagship model that had  people going crazy? The 17's maybe. 15 years from now what will be driving people to still buy Jordans. Do you think they can get away with remixing the same 7-12 model of jordans again for 15 years and still keep their revenue up?

ive pretty much given up on the quality of all recent retros… :smh:

dont even bother buying jordans anymore

who cares anymore :smh: F JB, they raising prices on yall every year giving you less for what you paying and you think they worried about stepping up the quality? That ship has sailed, retros are for style and that is it. No need for them to by the cow when yall giving them the milk for free.

Absolutely.

You said it yourself, they're doing well because of Jordan's legacy and that isn't going anywhere.

They have some timeless designs in timeless colorways.

There are STILL some classics that they haven't even retroed yet.

This is why the line will be alive for a long while still. The most memorable ones are usually work from Tinker too, who always thought out of the box with his background.

Those Xs were nearly 10 years old..... Glue dries up and looses adhesion over time....

I dont know what the hell he was thinking balling professionally in a pair of shoes from 2005.
This
I played pickup ball in my lebron II last week which are ten years old and the bottom came off

I see what you're saying, BUT I still rock III's and VIII's from 03, foams from '02, FP III's etc. and no signs of separation.

There's a difference between wearing a pair of shoes casually and wearing them to play play professional ball.

Im also willing to bet that was the first time those Xs were worn. Sneakers worn occasionally since new tend to last longer than those that have been stored and unworn for years.

JB/Nike quality has always been hit and miss.... you cant say that 2010 is the definitive cutoff year for crappy quality. The 08 and 09 Black/red XIs and SpaceJams are much worse quality than the 2010+ XI releases. The 04 Military and Fire red IVs were worse than the 2012s.

why the hell did he apoligize...seriously

they are an OLD pair of x's

not the recent bobcats or unc's

L's all around

tony, mj ,the yahoo broad reporting

Remember when MJ said he would look into those "sweatshops" .He is not gonna do a damn thing.

And most of JB consumers probably don't even know OG Jordans not only had better materials, but actually looked different. So there is zero pressure for JB to improve.

The sole of a 10 year old shoe falls off in a professional basketball game....

The fact that people are shocked enough to make a report about it is more shocking
