Or that's simply just a wristwatch and the one in the GT's are battery powered like you say this one is?

It looks like a regular clock to me. Automatic/Mechanical movements require frequent wear for the watch to show the time, require calibration to increase accuracy, and service for the watch parts every couple of years to function effectively. That is why I assume the clock is battery powered. You should read the first post to get a better understanding of watches in general, should be helpful.

Do you ever plan on changing the straps?

I'm wondering cause I've been doing research, but with a Rolex my dream is the YM II, but I still have to grind for a couple of years (or a lucky break) before I could get one.

So the Air King and Milgauss have caught my eye. But I want a brown strap with one.

My concern in this...

I have a feeling they'll look ugly if I change the strap to brown leather and see that design that looks as though it's clearly meant to follow into the strap.

The previous Air King's (from my research) straps look as though they're are positioned in a way to take away all links leaving no "design" (if I can call it that). I have a feeling the new Milgauss and Air King don't have that same design structure (I haven't been to see them in person yet)

Should I just look at a completely different watch(s)?

Ok, it's from a DB9, well I just posted pics from what I believe to be a Vantage. SO why does it matter if it';s from a DB9? You think they'll have a different, hand-wound movement just because the DB9 cost more?

Of course they are all electric powered or else they will lose time.

I'm not trying to be a douche but it is a pretty damn vague question.

Not looking to make a strap switch, I like the bracelet. Plenty of straps looks good with Rolexes, the case is still round and that bracelet part comes off anyways so it'll just look like a regular watch.

There are some who sells that small metal part of the bracelets, they call it "end links" so that the transition from case to straps is smoother and nicer. Like this one on the Daytona has aftermarket end links.

Here's a couple more end links on an Explorer and SD. I think it does look better with it.

Do keep in mind that the Air King is 34mm and the Milgauss is a 40mm. Try both on as they are two completely different in size. Check out the Oyster Perpetual too, they're 36mm.

I didn't even mention it was from a DB9 or from any car to begin with.

I was just honestly curious because the Bentley GT has a similar clock on it which says "Breitling" on it and I wanted to know if they were a specific movement.

I was confused when you first said V8, because I thought that it was a type of movement :rofl:
I'm a noob, dude.

All good. I said "V8" because I thought it was a joke so I said the engine is what powered it.

:smokin Thanks, that's exactly the look I want (except I want the white dial with brown leather), and I couldn't find a reference pic anywhere to see how it looked. Thanks.

I'll try on all three before I make a final decision, but that pic right there answers a major question for me.

Grats!

Yachtmaster always looks like they are 44mm or bigger because of that giant bezel but in reality they are only 35mm or 40mm. It's nice and clean.

Not a big fan of the YMII because of the giant words emblazoned "YACHT-MASTER II" on the bezel, 40mm YM is just right and good alternative to those who doesn't want a Sub.
 
Thanks for the love, fellas. Still surreal that I own a rolex. Worth every dollar spent, since in a way it symbolizes the journey up to this point. Hard work is the answer to your dreams.
 
First Rolex. Been working in Switzerland the past year so figured it was only right. Purchased in Zurich. Crazy thing is I wasn't even looking at the Yachmasters but as soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one.

Nice pick up. Might want to blur out that serial number in your first pic though.

Could you also take a pic of the clasp on that? Did they upgrade to the newer designs like on the GMT?

Thanks, boss. I had no idea there was anything negative involved with that. What are the consequences? I went ahead and removed it, since I haven't gotten it insured yet. Internet is a dangerous place.

Someone could take it and use the serial to put it on a fake watch/card.

It's just a precaution cause counterfeiters could use your serial or ratchet people might try to report it as theirs and stolen so if and when you do send it in for service you might run into some problems.
