Homeless: you have your freedom, chance to find a way to get a job and make something of yourself.
In jail: you get food, shelter, a bed.

Discuss.

I rather be in jail

Homeless ? You don't even have freedom when your homeless, you start stinking and get ask to leave the area anywhere you go, so theres no freedom, and it'll be very hard to make something of yourself.

In jail, i get a bed, shower and food, and get to go to school so when i get out I'll be somebody that made something for myself. I'll graduate with something so when I'm released, ill get work.

Yall really gotta make some distinctions though. There are homeless ppl you wouldn't technically know are homeless (they're clean, they squat in nice places cuz they're clever/smart or at least get to those homeless shelters early to get a bed and a meal, they know the coolest spots to hide out; underground tunnels, unsold homes, etc. and overall know how to make the best of their situation) and then there's the homeless ppl that have given up who drink most of the day, haven't bathed in months, know they stink and use it as a weapon, beg for money in vain can't even muster up a sign, have deteriorated health, might be mentally ill, and are generally socially maladjusted angry individuals.

Same goes for the difference between jail and prison. Aint no jail unless your in some small local county that'll keep you year round. The meals aint that great and you can't even use the vending machines. Then there's prison which unless it's a low security for ppl who committed white collar crimes and none of the COs are violently corrupt is gonna be one of those messed up prisons we're all familiar with that have gangs, rapes, terrible food, racial allegiances and is just a pretty bad place.

W/e you graduate with you won't get a job in. You're a convict so get use to being a janitor (not at a school) or maybe working at a non-branded fast food joint.

If you're homeless you can educate yourself by going to libraries and even college campus libraries. You don't have to smell if you don't want to.

You got mad freedom when you're homeless.

When you're homeless, so long as you don't have a long criminal record then you can pull yourself up by your bootstraps...you go to jail, constant fear of getting my booty taking...atleast on the street if youngin tries to take it I can run away.

Nah...I watched this whole series...I will never ever ever ever choose jail.

homeless without hesitation.

freedom, being able to enjoy the sunshine, seeing life, enjoy it with what I got, not trapped in by four walls.
 
I'd rather be homeless than in jail. I could at least work at mcdonalds or a grocery store and wash up in the bathroom if I need too, then just save up everything I get until I can get a place.

Jail will be a huge black mark against, and it says with you for life.

And not all homeless people are in the same situation. You can be living in a car and be homeless.
