Resellers Exposed! Their Point Of View

That's stupid logic. And please tell me Folarin is your last name.
No thats not my last name & please tell me how it's stupid logic. It's truly simple, one has nothing to lose and one does. If the ones on NikeTalk are reselling, they are doing it for other releases, pick ups, etc. They have NO money at stake and no dire need to sell. However, someone who resells for a hustle does. If he doesn't resell, his loss is coming out of pocket and he HAS to sell to even recoup some of the investment

There's a difference of someone reselling a pair of kicks to use the money on a future release or another pair they covet more, to some who posts a pic on IG with a trunk full of Jordan Boxes of a full size run trying to "make a hustle"

No it's not. You're just doing it in a much smaller scale.

So someone who sells a pair a shoes every couple of months is no different than someone that sells at every release, typically every weekend, and sometimes twice a week (i.e. KD Florals & Neturals Week)

THIS.

If I decide to sell a portion of my personal collection for market value that does NOT make me a reseller.

If an individual specifically buys out entire size runs and uses bots to buy multiple pairs/sizes for the sole purpose of resale that's a reseller.

If a person buys 2-3 pairs of the same shoe for the purposes of selling 1 or 2 to have a free pair, that's also a reseller. Whole LOT of NTers that do this and still ***** about resellers. If I cop a double I'm keeping both. For example, I copped two pairs of BIN IXs and I'm keeping both.

When I decide to sell it's not a matter of finance, it's a matter of just selling pairs I've decided not to keep. Usually that money goes right back into future sneaker purchases, IE shoes I covet more.

Not tryna make a business out of it but at the same time not doing anyone who doesn't show me love any favors. I'll happily reciprocate "fairer" pricing to those in my circle, dudes who look out for me I look out for in return. However if I don't know you I'm not going to cut anyone any deals. Simple as that. AIn't no sucker.
My EXACT point!!!

Selling shoes is selling shoes is selling shoes........... The only difference is the volume of shoes sold.

We breaking down different type of resellers now

All the same, you do it for a future release they do it for whatever reason, reselling is reselling

What does that matter to the person buying the shoes? When you exchange money for shoes or vice versa , we'll guess what, you're a reseller.
this..
I'm trying to understand what's the difference...

Just cuz intent is there doesn't mean anything

The person buying then won't go "hmmmm... This guy's not a reseller. I feel better about my purchase"

Seems like the shoe guys should've studied basic economics instead if refreshing websites.

Selling a shoe for market value =/= reselling.

Just like a basketball ball card enthusiast finally selling his Jordan rookie card after all these years =/= him being a hobbyist for the purposes of profit.

Or wait, he should sell for original retail value right?

And BTW, the IRS doesn't agree with you. Even by tax-law you need to have turned a profit 3 of the last 5 years on your hobby sales for your hobby to be considered a for profit endeavor. Most of us are simply enthusiasts who are savvy enough to know what we have and what that item is worth.

Again a guy who decides to sell x amount of pairs in his personal collection is completely different than someone who uses bots/other means to buy size run(s) of a particular shoe for the sole purpose of profit.

so you'd turn down someone willing to buy your kicks for $400...

To sell for $300??

Again, when you exchange money for shoes or vice versa, you're a reseller. You can argue what type of intent makes someone more "resellery" but it doesn't really matter.

I respect the man trying to make money more than I do than the dudes buying these kicks so they can impress strangers walking buy. Re-Sellers are taking advantage of your slave mentality to Nike, don't be mad.

then you and I have different definitions of the term "reseller".

I construe a reseller as an individual who procures sought after footwear for the sole purpose of financial gain.

you construe the term as anyone who sells a shoe who isn't a retailer.

fine by me, but I don't blame hobbyists for knowing what they have and knowing what it's worth, and not letting themselves get taken advantage of.

dudes want the "homie discount" but ain't homies and wouldn't reciprocate.

Why be mad at basic supply and demand? You guys need better things to worry about than this material good. Same dudes that turn around and cop a Balmain without blinking. And Folarin is a Wale shout out? Like chicks do when they add artists real last names to their screen names?

Resellers are what the millionaires in this country are made out of. The people in here complaining will be working for peanuts in a cubicle for the next for 40 years.

when did I say that? comprehension, do you have it?
my comprehension tells me you sound dumb as hell.

Getting rustled at resellers because they captured the marker.

You're mad at the wrong person.

You should be mad at the people BUYING FROM RESELLERS.

They're the ones making your hobby harder ...

Remove resellers and more resellers will surface

Remove people buying from resellers and problem solved.

Actually Folarin is my ancestor's last name after doing a research project. I think it is a pretty different name. But then you know my life and everything right?

When was I ever rustled at the reseller? Bro have you even read my responses? You having a bad day? Go somewhere with that son, you sound foolish right now. I never stated any qualm with resellers at any point. All my posts in this thread are simply about differentiating people who sell shoes from their personal collection from those who specifically sell shoes for profit. Never once did I say I had any problems with resellers, never once did I complain.

You totally didn't read anything, in here posting for the **** of it, posts going over your head left and right.

Go have your self a snickers nancy, you're oblivious when you're hungry.

Wait was that not a question? did it come off as a statement despite the question marks?

especially in days like these.

kids NEED retros to shoes they were never around to see originally.
confuses the hell out of me

remember when I said 100 GRs is better than lining up for a few limited pairs?

and I wonder if one of those dudes is the owner of Osneaker, he really does run around with a group of people to line up.

If you dont like getting raped by reseller prices then buy the OGs for $50 to $100 more than what these fools charge for their crappy retros.
At least then you are paying fair market value for a higher quality product, instead of paying an artificially inflated price for a lower quality product.

Croatianstyle is the only real reseller. These other dudes are just frauds.

And  if resellers make you feel any type of way. It's not that serious.

help me out here NT fambz. Croatian is that same dude that bought every pair of the Paris SB's right?

What's all this Project Blitz stuff? I thought that had something to do with underground hip hop.

Also back to the resellers. I can't complain about them. I'm too poor too afford retail prices. *Kanye Shrug.

Croatian bought up 30 pairs of the Paris Dunks. Think there was either 150 or 200 total pairs made. So yeah he def had a lions share of 'em.

If you visit his twitter you can see a picture of his Paris Dunk SB haul in his background. :smokin
